TYLNEY VICTORIA
AKA: Tansy (A British Flower)
Very Rare Split Line Chocolate Tortoiseshell Persian
and
CADBURY JANE
AKA: Catalina (An American Flower)
Very Rare Chocolate Tortoiseshell Persian
ADOPTED BY FOREVER FAMILY: Neil and Angela Fenton, Canton, Massachusetts
Tylney Victoria and Cadbury Jane came from a very rare litter that Primrose and Willie had. It was rare because it was a litter of all Tortoiseshell girls. It was very rare because of the three babies carrying rare chocolate colors. These girls are very rare Chocolate Tortoiseshell Persians. There are not a lot of pictures on the Internet of true Chocolate Tortoiseshell Persians. There markings are wonderful. Tylney is especially rare for her split line running down the center of her chocolate face. Both girls are doll faces. From there, they take off in different directions with their fur coat being different, the length of the nose different and the shape of their head, not to mention their personalities. Tylney is miss dainty and Cadbury says lets have fun. On June 15, 2014, after a grueling 13 hour drive down from Canton, Massachusetts, the Fentons arrived at the Cattery. After several hours of playtime with the Fentons, the girls left for their new home. The Fentons are thoroughly invested in the care and love of these precious girls. They are their children in fur. These girls will be spoiled rotten and treated like just like princesses. Here are the pictures and comments that The Fentons have sent on the girls since they left here. You can see Photo Shoots and more pictures and videos of these rare girls by going to Primrose's Nursery 2014.
June 15, 2014: Several emails on their 13 hour trip to their new home - "Doing well so far! Taking a break for them to stretch in trunk with litter box and food! She has her cute paw on the travel water dish. We gave them both water from syringe. They are doing well!! They are sleeping on each other; so cute!!!!!! No more crying at all. We are talking to them and playing classical music. We are just going through NYC now and will make one more stop with them for water/litter box/food.That is a good idea about the rooms! We are going to put them in our bedroom tonight to try with food, water, litter box and their beds. We don't want them to be scared wandering around the house.
We will keep you updated!! We just arrived home!! They did a great job!! We are setting up their fountain and food upstairs for the night. Thank you for everything! Take care,Angela & Neil"
June 16, 2014: "Good morning, They are doing so well!! They hardly cried at all last night! They slept together on my little chair next to my bed looking at me! They both did not eat the plain dry Young Again so we mixed the Royal Canin and they did not seem too interested. So, we gave them some fancy feast and they were both eating out of the same dish. Then, Cadbury ran off and jumped into the water fountain and splashed Tylney while she was still eating!!!! So funny!!!!!! They are playing with track ball, spiral toys, tunnel, pop up box, and running around after each other. When we wake up a bit more, we are going to bring out all of the toys and show them the structure. The fountain they were a bit frightened of, but are now drinking out of it....it might be too big for them right now? They are so much fun!!!! Tylney and Cadbury are doing so well!!! We are playing nonstop! We were so tired, but honestly Tylney and Cadbury get the award!! They did better with the drive than us! They were so adorable. We switched turns driving and having one of us sit in the back with them and pet them. They slept on each other!!! The cutest thing ever. Thank God we have both of them because they are best friends. We are watching them communicate with each other; it's fascinating!
We introduced them to a good part of the house this morning because they were adjusting so well! They love their structure and exploring. They do not like to be far away from each other and will make a sound looking for one of us (Tylney does this more than Cadbury). They also ate dry food. They watch what each other will do first. They ate all of the wet too! They used the litter box, one after the other. We could watch them for every second of the day!
We are loving every moment of them! They are adorable!!"
June 17, 2014: "We had a very restful night. They both slept in our bed and were so adorable. Tylney slept right on Neil's pillow next to his head; so cute! I don't think they like their beds and prefer our bed which is absolutely fine. The pottery barn beds are just so cute. They are now eating the dry, but only with the royal canin mixed in. They are also eating the wet!! They are running around and playing with their toys now. They have no fear and are up and down on the structure. They love looking outside in the sun. Cadbury is on the top level right now. We are enjoying them!!! They love playing with each other. Sometimes Tylney starts the play fights with Cadbury now. They love all of the room to run around. They are so fast.
Everything is going so well!! We are enjoying every second.
They love the structure. We definitely think it was the best advice to have all of their same toys, fountain, food, structure, etc...for a good adjustment to their new home. If other families are contemplating the structure, please do share this with them as we also feel better as parents knowing that they are already adjusted to the height of the structure as they have been using it for some time (though we still keep a watchful eye). I could tell that they recognized it though!! They were fighting over the top shelf for a bit too! They are very cute on the stairs. They have carpet which is good so they won't slip on hard wood. They love our couch and chair too. They sit on the arms and use it as another way to climb onto the structure. I think they have adjusted well!
They are napping next to me on the baby blanket next to each other. So cute!!! They are definitely best friends!! They are bonding to us as well. They follow us everywhere and stay with us. We gave them full access to the house (except for basement, office, and guest room) and they stayed in bed with us (we set up a bowl of water with dry food next to our bed) as well as their normal food/fountain set-up which is now in the kitchen downstairs. They definitely love our attention. We will sit on the floor with them and they both rub up against us together. It is so funny watching how they copy each other. I think that they look to each other for comfort, but are feeling at ease with us. They did not like the sound of the shower though and ran into the other room, so I shut the bathroom door.
They have the most fascinating personalities! We love watching them. They are great company though and are lap cats when they feel like it and then want to play. I watched TV last night while Neil was studying and they stayed in bed with me with their toys and played, cuddled, and I hugged them...so cute. Then, we ran around for a bit and played with the wand. Lots of fun!"
June 18, 2014: "We are on our way to the vet! A tiny bit of crying, but this 7 miles is far better than 750 miles!!!"
"They were such a hit!!! Stars!!! Everyone was in awe. They are just so perfect and in perfect health. We are on our way back and they are napping!"
"The vet was very happy with their health and the records that you provided. She said that normally breeders will just document that the parents are negative for a condition, but she thought it was so much better to provide actual documentation which she was impressed!
The kittens weight was 3.4 for Tylney and 3.6 for Cadbury.
The next vaccine is scheduled for July 5th and rabies on a separate visit as she does not recommend multiple vaccines on the same day, which we agree with as well. We are also dropping off a stool sample on July 5th, as likes to look at two samples and she saw that you already did one which was great.
We discussed the spaying in October which she also agreed with and our concerns. We are going to have a separate anesthesia appointment when the time comes as well.
They also liked and approved of all of your food recommendations as well. We bought kitten tooth paste and brushes as she would like us to brush their teeth at a young age. We also talked about cleaning their ears carefully and some heart worm guard gel to put on the back of their necks in case Mosquitos come into our house (so unlikely)....as we do not open windows without screens and use central A/C all of the time.
They were really impressed with everything!!
Most of all, they were impressed with these rare kittens! Cadbury was a bit more active than Tylney for the exam. They could not believe how beautiful their eyes are and their coat!!!
There was definitely a crowd of staff looking at them!!!!!
I think that is the main summary of details of the appointment. We definitely felt like proud parents.
I have to go back to work tomorrow, but Neil is home studying!! He is lucky as he will have two study buddies at home. "
June 19, 2014: "They were so adorable last night. They love sleeping with us (for the vast majority of the night) and are snuggled into us. So cute!! They are doing so well and we are truly enjoying these babies. I am sad that I am at work today, but will look forward to seeing them when I get home ASAP."
"I miss them!! It has been fun to show pictures of them to my work colleagues though! Everyone cannot believe how adorable they are! They are truly outstanding kittens! Neil is having fun with them at home and sent me a cute video of them. I am jealous! He is also going to call the vet to discuss/review the plan for the vaccines and will get back to you as soon as possible. It is definitely nice to have two of them, as we can share the love as they really love our attention. They are so snuggly! Neil ran out to do a few errands today and when he arrived home, they were on the climbing structure!! They just love it. It was definitely the best purchase for them. They love looking at the birds outside and any bugs."
June 20, 2014: "Neil said that they both Tylney and Cadbury sat on our bathroom rug and watched him shave this morning; so cute! Everyone at work LOVE the photos and think that they are absolutely beautiful kittens; we agree!"
June 23, 2014: "We had such a great weekend with the babies!! We just enjoyed every second of time with them; playing and exploring. They both love sleeping in bed with us and love to cuddle! Cadbury slept around Neil's neck like an extra soft scarf!! So adorable!! Neil was up late studying for his exam on Saturday night and they kept him company sitting on his desk watching him study. They love looking out all of our windows and sitting in the sun. We love watching them communicate to each other as well; so intelligent. We are enjoying every moment! We miss them when we are at work, but definitely make up for the time together when we get home. Neil will be home studying for a few days this week so he can have fun with them."
June 24, 2014: "We miss our babies, but Neil will be off for the rest of the week which will be nice! We are happy that they have each other during the day. We definitely give them tons of attention when we get home; they probably need a bit of a break from us!! Their personalities are so fascinating. They are similar in many ways. Their intelligence is definitely one of the most prominent feature of all. We call both of their names together and they will come running into the next room! I think they know their names!! They are definitely the Queens of our home!"
"We just wanted to send you this quick photo....we think that Tylney knows what time we get home and waits for us to pull into garage and looks outside the window and watches me pull the car in and get the mail. This is the third time she has greeted one of us!!!! So smart and so adorable!!!!!!!!!!"
June 26, 2014: "They had their follow-up vet appointment yesterday and we had them ride in separate Sleepypods due to the heat (we had the AC on the car, but thought they would want some space) and again they were the absolute hit of the vet!! They are so adorable!! "
"It's SO cute!!! She definitely gives us that face. Neil was downstairs, but now he is in the office. They also sit on his desk under the desk light and watch him study; adorable!! We LOVE them! "
"They love sitting on the little rug in the bathroom while I dry my hair. They are not afraid of the sound of the hair dryer which is great!! It is so cute as they are never apart from each other; always within the same room, but sometimes on a different mission or playing with a different toy. We have been using the light toy at night and they absolutely love to chase it and will run from the family room to the hallway (or as far as the light will go). They love the tunnel and play cube as well. We love how they can be very active and play and then definitely love to be held as they both purr away and we each hold one of the babies."
"It's so interesting to watch them. We are playing right now. There are times that they are both laid back or one might want even more special attention than the other. We are still learning their personalities, but it appears that they both are a great mix! We make sure to give them special alone time as well with each of us.
We definitely see Willie more in Cadbury and Primrose in Tylney! Cadbury's coat is SO soft!!!!!! She has the softest coat I have ever felt! Tylney has this cute little dainty dance when she runs, it is almost like a dancer! Cadbury just runs!!! They are both very fast and enjoy running with the light toy. They appear comfortable on the stairs which have carpet. We are playing with the springs right now. The boinks have disappeared already! I need to look for them and/or get more. Cadbury's eyes appear to be developing a bit darker than Tylney as well. Just beautiful! We love watching their every move. We could go on and on! We love them!!"
June 28, 2014: "It is so funny as they match the entire decor of the house and paint colors!!!!! Everyone says that to us!!! So cute!! These little boxes are on the main stair case and they love sitting in them. Tylney gave me a loving look, as we had a discussion that we needed to take this photo!!! So sweet!!"
July 2, 2014: "Here is an adorable photo of the kittens sitting on the chair in the office getting ready to keep Neil company while doing work. Tylney & Cadbury both have sweet expressions! They have been such a joy! They both sleep on our pillows by our heads; purring away!!! So cute!"
