November 28, 2016
https://youtu.be/9YbGbrXWsvI
Madeline Rose is truly one of the sweetest Seal Point Himalayan kittens, as well as being absolutely gorgeous. She turns 13 weeks old. We are going to miss this sweetheart when she goes to her new home tomorrow. Her new mommie, Penny, can not wait to have her in her arms. Madeline's coat is a beautiful floor sweeping mop. As you can see in the video, she loves to rub her love all over the place just like her father, Little Miracle.

Madeline leaves tomorrow for her new home with Penny. She will be missed. We wish we had kept her but Penny had waited over a year for a female extreme face Seal Point Himalayan. This beautiful little girl was meant for her right from the beginning. Catch Madeline's complete photo shoot in Petunia's Nursery 2016. She is one gorgeous white mop head for sure. She has her father's gorgeous long coat. She started out small but is leaving us at just under 4 lbs. Actually, by tomorrow, she will probably be at 4 lbs.

Holly's Kitten's Victorian Chamber Pot Photo Shoot
6 Weeks Old
We have finally created Holly's Nursery for her litter born on September 30, 2016. Yesterday, the babies had their first bath. It was perfect timing for their Victorian Chamber Pot Photo Shoot. Today they will move from the Nursery upstairs down to the Toddler Room where they can run and climb till their hearts are content. The last week, they were climbing the walls in the small Nursery. So it is definitely time for them to have bigger playstations, more mature toys and lots more room to run. The girls are potty trained and are weaning on to wetted down EVO dry. The little boy is partially potty trained. As of this last few days, he is drinking formula in a bowl on his own, though he is not careful and gets it up his nose. Even after a good scrubbing bath, you can still see the formula on his face. LOL. Oh how he likes to get it all over himself. I am happy to see him starting to play with his sisters instead of watch then play. Those girls are wild little things and bigger and more aggressive in play than he is. Hopefully once he started eating the wetted down food, he will start putting on a lot of weight and will be a match to them in play. I am exciting to see him finally taking off. You can catch their 2 1/2 Week Old Photo Shoot and yesterday's 6 Week Chamber Pot Photo Shoot in Holly's Nursery 2016.

Victoriangdn's Periwinkle
Photo Shoot at 5 Months Old
October 27, 2016
Periwinkle, our future female breeder for 2017, just had her 5 month birthday. As of today, she is weighting in at 6.10 lbs at 5 months old. So she is going to be a very big girl. I usually calculate one pound per month till one year old. It will be interesting to see what she will weight when she is an adult. I love her hop scotch ears, her large eyes and her fabulous coat she inherited from her mother. She will be shown in the Norfork CFA Show in February 2017. Shortly thereafter, she will start her breeding career at the Cattery. You can see her full photo shoot on Our Dams page. Her mother is our own Hydrangea (Peony and Willie baby). Her father is from another Cattery. In his pedigree is the famous Lake Hyco Brown Thrasher. We do not know if she has inherited the Chocolate gene or even the Dilute gene. We may do a DNA test to find out or just wait to her first litter.

New Kitten Photo Shoots
October 26, 2016
Today was bath day at the Cattery. We ended up giving 4 kittens bathes and then went on to do three Photo Shoots. Madeline, Petunia's kitten, is very photogenic and her Photo Shoot was a breeze. You can see her complete photo shoot in Petunia's Nursery 2016. We then went on to do Photo Shoots of Diamond's two kittens. Now taking pictures of fast moving kittens is never an easy task, but couple that with their darker coloring and the camera just could not keep up with the focusing. The coloring from the camera just was not right. Hopefully the camera was able to capture their beauty. Maximus is now an amazing 3 1/2 pounds at 10 weeks old. This past week his Chocolate coat lightened up and he started growing those famous cheek wings. He looks the spitting image of Cartier, Diamond's Black Persian from a previous litter. We are currently asking our families for suggestions for flower names for Diamond's girl that we are keeping as a breeder. If we get enough suggestions in, we will have a vote for the top names that I picked. You can see these kittens complete Photo Shoot in Diamond's Nursery 2016. Tomorrow's goal is a Photo Shoot of Periwinkle, Hydrangea's 5 month old kitten. Her fur is so thick and long, it took us about an hour just to blow dry her today. The sun went down before we had a chance for her Photo Shoot. So stay tuned for her pictures.

October 18, 2016

Does our cute little Madeline Rose, a Seal Point Himalayan, does have another mommie? By the looks of it, yes she does. Petunia, your real mommie will not mind. I think that makes 4 mommies for Madeline, including myself. Iris's 12 week old Chocolate Point Himalayan, named Lilly Belle Rose, decided Madeline needed some tending to. So she took her washing her dirty face. Just click on the link to go to the video.

Female Extreme Face Seal Point Himalayan
September 16, 2016
This baby is doing great. Her eyes are just now opened. We expect them to open up even more in the next few weeks. Such a cute nose pad this little girl has. We are hoping to move her down early to the Toddler Room in about two weeks so she will not have to grow up without other kittens to play with. She is a doll. She is a beauty like her mommy. You can see her full photo shoot in Petunia's Nursery 2016.

Diamond and Little Miracle's two Persian kittens just turned 4 weeks old. They had just been spoon feed their wet food and it is starting to be nap time. They had been sleeping and spooning (like two spoons in a drawer) in bed but then started playing. The large boy is a solid extreme face Chocolate Persian. The cobby girl is a solid extreme face Black Persian. Our Iris has been their mother since Day 3 of their lives. Diamond does not like to take care of her babies. She is now spayed and available for adoption. Iris has her own 8 week old kittens she also takes care of. Just click on the link above to be taken to their video. Enjoy.

Diamond is available for adoption. She just turned 4 years old. She has already been spayed. She is Show Quality had has gone to Champion Status in the CFA Show Rings. She can be shown in Premiership if the Adoptive Family is interested in showing her. She is a sweet girl and loves to be petted. We had to close her breeding career early since she did not like being a mother and taking care of her newborns. It just was not a good fit for her. If you are interested in adopting her, please submit a Kitten Application to us. Her Sales Contact will require that the adoptive family continue having HCM scans on her every two years until a DNA HCM test is available. At that time, the family will do a DNA HCM test on her. If she shows negative or carrier status, she will not have to have any more HCM scans. She was scanned this year and will not need another scan until 3/10/18. If you have any questions about Diamond, please contact us.

Diamond's two babies are doing great. They are just starting to walk. Iris stays in their birthing bed 24/7 and feeds them. These babies are gorgeous and large for their age. We can't wait to see them develop. We are eyeing the Chocolate boy to keep as a future breeder at our Cattery. He would be Diamond's replacement. In a week, they will be moved to the Toddler Room where they will have more room to practice their walking and playing. You can view their Photo Shoot in Diamond's Nursery 2016.

Cattery Updates and New Videos and Photos
August 15, 2016
We have been busy as beavers at the Cattery lately. We have had lots of visitors this past month. Our beloved Pansy was adopted by her new family this past Saturday. She is doing great in her new home with Reagan and Travis and Pansy's daughter, Velcro. Stay tuned for pictures of Pansy and Velcro from Velcro's Instagram page entitled "StickwithVelcro".
We have two new videos that we just uploaded to our YouTube Channel. We have directly linked this videos below:
First video is of all three litters, Petunia, Hydrangea and Holly's litter playing with a new toy for which they are very curious about. Paxton and Penelope Rose left for their new home with Sherri and Primrose on August 6th. From what I have heard, Primrose is being a great mom to these sweet, sweet babies. I miss them a lot!! They were from one awesome litter.
https://youtu.be/2Zay_tR8hho
Second video is taken last week when Iris's babies were 3 1/2 weeks old. They are now walking and we have started the process of potty training and weaning. They are such friendly and outgoing babies. They are definitely Willie's babies with that personality. This past week, we got some new photos of Iris's babies also. They really are sweet, outgoing, friendly and so cute. We should start picks on them at the beginning of September. The Photo Shoot is shown above. We hope to have Iris's Nursery page up and running soon.

We are already on delivery watch for Diamond's babies. They are suppose to be due any day now. She is now in the birthing cage and I go in to check on her frequently. So stay tuned.
This week, we will do the Victorian Carriage Photo Shoot for Hydrangea's kittens. Milo, her Seal Point Himalayan boy, is leaving on Sunday to go to his new home. His sister, Periwinkle, will stay on at the Cattery as a future breeder. These babies grew up so fast and I can't believe it is already time for Milo to leave. He will be missed.
So as you see, the Cattery is a buzzing ...

My Sweet Dear Iris, You are a Trooper ... such a Special Lady
Two Weeks Old

Iris brought us our first all chocolate litter born via C-Section on July 18. As many of you know, she had 6 kittens in her womb. One died in the womb due to being a rare shoulder breech that was stuck in the canal. The other was put to sleep due to congenital defects. Due to the circumstances of the C-Section, Iris had to have two emergency surgeries within a week period of time. The last surgery on the following Saturday after her C-Section, resulted in a hospital stay of three days. The last surgery was to repair the internal C-Section stitches that had all come undone within a few days of the C-Section and to repair the large hernia as the result of her bladder coming through the abdominal wall because the stitches had become undone. When I left her at the hospital, I was crying, not knowing if I would ever see her again. When I asked how dangerous the second surgery was, the Vet only could say, "well, it is a second surgery which is a risk". Thankfully, Iris made it safely through that second surgery and was looked after throughout the weekend by the hospital staff. Iris is recovering well and nursing and loving her babies. It has truly been heartbreaking to see all she has been through for her first litter. To make things worse, two of her precious C-Section babies died of pneumonia within 48 hours of the C-Section. I did everything in my power and arsenal to keep them alive. It was devastating for Iris as well as me. I don't know how either her or I made it through that first week and a half. I was hand feeding her babies every 2 hours round the clock for the first week and every 3 to 4 hours the following week. Holly was brought in to help with nursing while Iris was in the hospital though she was reluctant to help. I actually brought her in earlier than that since Iris had no milk and I was exhausted from the round the clock feedings. Iris now has two Chocolate Point Himalayans (one girl and one boy) who are doing really well and Iris's milk has finally come in. They are active and looking around and screaming to be feed all the time. That is such a good sign. Life is starting to settle down after a horrific first two weeks of their life. You can read more about this litter on our website. These babies should be ready to leave the Cattery around October 17, 2016.

Hydrangea's 9 Week Seal Point Himalayan Boy Catching A Bird

Hydrangea's 9 week old Seal Point Himalayan boy is hilarious in this video taken by one of our adoptive families, Sherri, while visiting the Cattery and her babies on July 23, 2016. The kitten is running around with the D'bird in his mouth and is trying to get away from us as we try to get it from him. He is growling like he thinks it really is a real bird. It was so hilarious that I broke out in laughter and could not stop. Of course, this was during one of our most stressful weeks on record for the Cattery. You can see more of this cute kitten in Hydrangea's Nursery on our website. Thank you Sherri for this very funny video. We definitely needed the laugh.

Iris and Willie's Babies
July 19, 2016
Thanks to Dr. Rosemarie Williams and the staff at The Sound Cat, yesterday, July 18th at 12:30 p.m., Iris brought us our first all chocolate litter. She has three Chocolate Himalayans (one girl and two boys) and one female Chocolate Persian. The girl Himalayan is very talkative so I am guessing she has the Tortitude of a Chocolate Tortie Point Himalayan. It was the largest litter ever for our Cattery at six kittens in the womb. However, the reason we were down at The Sound Cat was one baby had breached in the birth canal and had died there. Another baby was put to sleep due to several problems, possibly genetic. So it was an emotional roller coaster day. Iris was doing great through it all. She never let on that she was in any pain from the breach. This Dear Mother doesn't even look or act like she had major surgery yesterday. She is so much like her grandmother, Primrose, and mother, Holly, when it comes to protecting her babies. I have to put her in a carrier in order to feed her babies. Her milk has not come in so I am hand feeding these babies every 3 to 3 1/2 hours round the clock. Hoping her milk comes in soon so I can get some rest. If you are wondering why the markings on their heads ... it is to tell them apart.

Cattery Updates
July 9, 2016
It is our busy time of year with pregnancies, births, visitors and kittens leaving for their new homes. This past week Diamond was verified as pregnant by Little Miracle. If I have calculated correctly, she should deliver around August 17th, give or take a few days on either side. She normally has solid blacks and black and white bi-colors with Miracle but they are capable of having chocolate and white bi-colors as well as solid chocolates. So it seems like are deliveries this year are about 3 to 4 weeks apart. Her babies would be able to leave around mid November.
Iris is due to deliver in about a week and a half. She is huge and very heavy. I expect a good size litter of all chocolate babies and almost all extreme faces. There should be 50% Himis and 50% Persians in this litter. This will be our first all chocolate litter at our Cattery. I am so excited. Iris will be a first time mom. With ten days to go, her weight has increased 37.53% from her prepregnancy weight. She has gained 2.77 lbs so far. She is already looking around for a place to nest. We hope for an easy delivery. We will be getting her birthing area ready this coming week.
Holly's babies are getting bigger and starting to blossom. I was so excited today to see that someone was starting to use the litter box. They are not interested in wet food yet. They will be moved down to the Family Room this week to make the Nursery available for Iris. I think these babies are ready for some climbing furniture and to be around all the action. I am considering letting the Cream Point be adopted instead of keeping him as a breeder. I just don't know if his nose is going to go higher and he become an extreme face. Now the question would be, will Toy mate Holly again?? I definitely want to see if Toy will mate Hydrangea.
Hydrangea's kittens are very active. They are eating wetted down dry food and we hope to transition them to all dry food soon. They have been fully potty trained now for several weeks. YEAH! Hydrangea just went through a heat cycle. I am sure she is glad that is over with so she can have fun with her babies. She is playing with them. That little girl is quite festive just like a Tortie personality is known for. The little boy is an absolute doll. We may pull some DNA tests to see who is the chocolate carrier before making a permanent decision on which one to keep as a breeder.
Petunia's kittens start leaving this week. I must say ... these babies have been so sweet and special to have here. I have enjoyed them thoroughly. They all come running to me and want to be held and loved. They all four are absolute lovebugs. I am so pleased with this litter. They have fabulous personalities. This is one breeding I will definitely be repeating. We will be doing their Victorian Carriage Photo Shoot on Monday. We would like to get one more video while they are still all together. So please stay tuned.
Hopefully I have time this week to put Pansy's bio up on the Available Adults page since she is now ready to be adopted. She is a sweetheart. She sleeps right by me each night. She has always been my partner when it comes to mothering babies. I want her to go to an extra special home. She has that loving personality that her father, Camelot, has.
So this next week will be busy with a lot of movement going on at the Cattery. At least we have a day of rest on Sunday before we start on Monday. Hope you all enjoy your Sunday.

Holly and Toy's 20 Day Old Kitten's First Video
June 29, 2016
https://youtu.be/SEbgq7MryBE
We just uploaded to our Youtube channel, Holly and Toy's 20 day old kitten's first video. Seems there is never enough time in the day any more for photo shoots and videos. Hopefully that will change as we start to catch our breath after 4 litters so close together. Holly and Toy's babies are doing great and growing so fast now. They started walking this past week. The rare Chocolate Bi-Color is a doll. Just watch him come walking to me over and over again. Holly, herself, has settled down and is not so fiercely protective, though she does try to block me with her body when I try to pet them. LOL. Next week I might start weaning them on to wet food but Holly is doing a great job at nursing them. She is very affectionate with them and loves rolling next to them and sometimes on them. We are hoping to get one Photo Shoot of them this week when they turn 3 weeks old. Just click on the click above to be taken to our Youtube channel. Enjoy!

Cattery Updates
June 20, 2016
We wanted to give some quick Cattery updates. It has been super busy here. Last Friday, Petunia and Diamond's litters went down for the long trip to Wilmington, NC to The Sound Cat for their first checkup. They did very well on the long 3 hour drive one way and throughout their appointment. Dr. Williams and her staff love to see the babies. Pansy also went down for her spay surgery and Rose for a reproductive ultrasound. Dr. Williams was nice enough to do Pansy's surgery in the morning so we would not have to wait till mid afternoon to pick her up. Pansy is doing great and is as sweet as always. She is now available for adoption. I just have not had the time to post her availability on the Available Adults page. So if you are interested in adopting Pansy, please contact us. As for Rose, she was to be spayed but I wanted to get a reproductive ultrasound done before deciding. Her ultrasound showed nothing wrong with her reproductive system. So she will be on antibiotics in hopes that it will clear up any problems with infections. We are trying to get Toy to mate her.
About a week ago, we did a Photo Shoot on Hydrangea's kittens. We are hoping to get Hydrangea's Nursery 2016 up and running this week so we can post the Photo Shoot. Her babies are doing great and are now starting to wean and be litter box trained. That boy is an absolute doll ... a real lovebug!!
Holly's babies are also doing great and growing up so fast. They are nice and healthy and putting on good weight. Holly has calmed down a lot in the protective arena, though she is still very protective. Her babies eyes are just starting to open. They will have a Photo Shoot once their eyes are fully open ... hopefully by the end of the week.
Diamond's babies leave for their new homes on Wednesday. I am sure that Petunia's kittens will miss them since they have been together for a while now. Hercules, from Petunia's litter looks just like his grandfather, Willie Wonka, when Willie was a baby. He also has Willie's very outgoing personality. The likeness is striking.
So we will be making updates and posting pictures later in the week, including Diamond's kittens Victorian Carriage Photo Shoot. So stay tuned.

Holly and Toy's Newborns
June 12, 2016
Between 10 p.m. on Thursday night and 2:00 a.m. on Friday morning, Holly and Toy had three babies born. Unfortunately due to severe birth defects, one baby was put to sleep at the Vet on Friday. He was very active and healthy except for his severe cleft palate that affected his nostrils also. He could not nurse without it being a death sentence. It was heartbreaking but the Vet said I did the right thing. I tube fed this sweet heart throughout the night and morning so he would be comfortable and not hungry. So I did the absolute best I could for him. This birth defect has now shown up several times with the Stepp'nstone line. I am seriously considering neutering Toy since it is in his line and Diamonds. On a happier note, Holly has two boys, one Himi and one rare Chocolate and White Bi-Color Persian. It is too early yet to tell if they are extreme but my guess is doll face. I have been hand feeding them as Holly ran out of Colostrum last night. Her milk should be coming in shortly. Holly is more aggressively protective of her babies than her mother, Primrose, ever was. She also does that funny puff face to warn you. She makes it very hard to weight her babies or feed them. Primrose would be proud.

Kitten's Celebration Breakfast
Video

Today, Diamond and Petunia's kittens had a big celebration breakfast with real whole roasted deboned chicken. The chicken was a vegetarian fed, antibiotic free chicken that we had roasted in the oven. As you can see, they loved it. Petunia's babies had been eating wet food pate so having solid deboned chicken was a first. They filled up fast. Why were they celebrating, the five available kittens were chosen by our Priority Wait List in less than 24 hours. The five kittens are going to two wonderful pet homes. Diamond's kittens will leave for their new homes June 22th. Petunia's kittens are leaving for their new homes July 14th. They still have a bit of growing before they leave. Congratulations to these precious babies and their new families.

Happy Memorial Day
May 30, 2016

Diamond and Petunia's litters had a whirlwind weekend. Picks on the litters started this weekend and two families came to pick their kittens. By Monday morning, all five kittens were picked by these two families. Yes, that is right ... all five kittens. They fell in love with all of them. We are so happy they are going to terrific homes. Already the families have started Instagram pages for their babies. The babies and I, including my adult breeders, thoroughly enjoyed their visit. All my babies got some extra loving and attention. By Monday afternoon, you could find both litters sleeping on the floor all laid out, plumb exhausted from all the excitement. Even Hydrangea's 12 day old babies got some extra loving. As for the Priority Wait List, everyone on it will move up on the list. We will be opening up the Priority Wait List by the end of the week for a few additional families who qualify from our second list.
Now we are going to be gearing up for Holly's litter (Chocolate Tortie Point Himalayan) which is due on June 9th. That week we will also have pregnancy verification on Iris, our Chocolate Tortoiseshell Persian. We are hoping she got pregnant by Willie Wonka, our Chocolate Point Himalayan.

Today we combined Diamond's 9 week old kittens with Petunia's 6 week old kittens. Right off the bat, Petunia's kittens started playing on the larger playstation. They are getting along great. Watch as they run around in their area. We have a fence up since we are still working on litter box training some of them and want to protect our wood flooring. Diamond has a Black Persian and a Black and White Bi-Color Persian. Petunia has a Black Persian, a Chocolate Point Himalayan and two Seal Point Himalayans. Petunia is Diamond's daughter. You can see their most recent photo shoots in Diamond's Nursery 2016 and Petunia's Nursery 2016. Just click on the link above to go to our Youtube Channel and the video.

Hydrangea's Five Day Old Babies
May 22, 2016
Hydrangea's babies turned five days old this afternoon. They are doing great. They have nice fat tummies. We got our wish of a Tortie Himalayan. I still don't know if she is a Seal or Chocolate Tortie. Her nose pad coloring showed her Tortie coloring really fast. Even at birth, she had a coloring mark on her ear tip which I am assuming is part of her Tortie coloring. My guess is she is a Seal Tortie. I am watching her paw pads closely for a sign. Hydrangea is still on medicine and herbs to increase her milk. She is feeding them on her own without my supplementing feeding them. In fact they don't even like the nipple syringe anymore. She is a great mother and nice and protective.
We are going to try to get some new pictures of our other litters sometime this week. Everyone is growing up. Both Petunia and Diamond's litter had their space expanded this week. Petunia's litter also got a playstation which they immediately loved. They now sleep there.
Holly is now weighting 27% more than her prepregnancy weight. She is due in about 2 1/2 weeks. Iris was bred to Willie this past week. We should be able to verify if she got pregnant around the first week of June. Stay tuned.

Hydrangea's Babies
May 19, 2016
We have been so busy here that there just has not been time to update the website on Hydrangea and her precious miracle babies. We did post on May 17th on our Facebook page. On May 17, 2016, Hydrangea had a very and hard labor and delivery of two precious miracle babies. I call these precious babies my second and third miracles for the year. At one point in the labor, I was packing the car quickly for an emergency C-Section trip down to Wilmington. As I was getting the birthing cage in the car after hours of Hydrangea being in labor, I noticed that Hydrangea, in her carrier, had two feet sticking out of her. So I ran her back in the house and worked very hard on trying to get the stuck baby out of her. I thought the baby probably would be dead when it was finally out but it was not. This is Hydrangea's first vaginally delivery. Last year, she had a C-Section. So she was small to deliver this first baby vaginally. Well, here comes the second baby but it was worst. It was much larger ... in fact 108 grams. It also came legs first. We, Hydrangea and I, both had to work at least five minutes strong in trying to get it out. In both cases, the heads were so much bigger than the opening. It was indeed a third miracle. I was very happy that we did not have to take the 3 hour drive down to Wilmington with a baby stuck in the birth canal. What a day. Hydrangea was exhausted and so was I. What started out at 8:30 a.m. in the morning, finally finished around 4 p.m. Both babies and Mom are doing good and nurse well. I am having to supplement feed them since Hydrangea is not making enough Colostrum yet. She is a great mom ... protective of them and carrying for them. I hope her milk comes fully in during the next day or so. I know the second born is a large male extreme face Seal Point with a round head, small ears. The first born may be a female Chocolate Tortie Point. I can't really tell the sex of this one yet. We may have to wait till the colors develop more. We should have Hydrangea's Nursery 2016 up and running soon on the web so stay tuned. For now, please see above for the photo that was taking on May 17th, a few hours after they were born.

Petunia's Four Week Old Kittens Photo Shoot
May 13, 2016
Petunia and Miracle's babies are now four weeks old and doing great. They have started litter box training and eating wet food this past week. They are being moved down to the Toddler Room this evening where they will be able to have more space and toys. I love this litter for their sweetness and beauty. They all run up to me as I come in to the Nursery. These Himalayan kittens should have great blue eye color. We will do picks on this litter in about 2 weeks or less. You can view the complete photo shoot in Petunia's Nursery 2016.

Candid Slide Show of Petunia's 2 1/2 Week Old Kittens
May 2, 2016
We finally we are able to get a new cord for our camera in order to charge it. So this evening, we were able to get some close up candids of Petunia's sweet babies. The Chocolate Point, aka: Little Miracle Jr., loved the camera so that is why he got more pictures. He was very photogenic. You can tell several of them are taking after Petunia's trait of her tongue sticking part way out. Petunia is a Diamond and Willie baby. That litter was known for their kneading dough and sucking on blankets and stuffed toys. I always thought it was because Diamond had not been a good mom to her babies and they had kneaded dough and nursed on blankets as a way of comfort. While I have changed my mind about that. It is a genetic trait for this particular line. I am seeing that sweet kneading dough on blankets and sucking on blankets with some of these babies. Genetics are a powerful thing. It is totally genetics because Petunia is an excellent mom. She is there to comfort them. She is always rubbing on them. I had not actually seen this before till now. She will rub her head all over them if they are crying. I think it is precious. Hope you all enjoy the candids. They are due a full photo shoot at their 3 week mark on Thursday, so stay tuned.
We will be giving Diamond's babies their first bath on Wednesday followed up by their Chamber Pot Photo Shoot on their 6 week birthday on Friday. Boy has time flown with this litter. We will start picks on this litter after the photo shoot. The first on the Priority Wait List has already claimed the male Bi-color before picks has started. So picks will be for the female Black Persian. Now that the regular camera is back charged up, we hope to get a video of this litter some time this week before picks starts.

Cattery Update
May 1, 2016
We had some rather exciting news at the Cattery this week. On Thursday, Hollyhock's nipples pinked up. I couldn't believe it. I was ecstatic. How could this happen since Dr. Williams said Toy didn't have any sperm in his urine when she checked it. She checked him right after Holly and Toy had been mating for about a week. Well, he definitely must still have sperm and it is such a relief to me. I would expect that Holly's due date is around June 9, 2016, give or take. Since she didn't pink up till Day 23, I guess her last day of mating did it. I am hoping she can maintain this pregnancy. With a mating of Toy and Holly, the following can be expected: 100% Chocolate Carriers and 100% Dilute Carriers, 50% Persians and 50% Himalayans. The Himalayans should have outstanding blue eye color. One male from this litter that is either a chocolate, red, lilac or cream, will more than likely be kept by the Cattery as a future breeder. I made the mistake of letting all of Holly and Toy's boys be adopted last year and I have kicked myself ever since because I almost lost the National Award Winning line by not keeping one.
The colors that can be expected from this litter are fantastic and are as follows:
Females: 12.5% Black, 12.5% Blue, 12.5% Chocolate, 12.5% Lilac, 12.5% Black Tortie, 12.5% Blue Tortie, 12.5% Chocolate Tortie, 12.5% Lilac Tortie.
Males: 12.5% Black, 12.5% Blue, 12.5% Chocolate, 12.5% Lilac, 25% Red and 25% Cream
In their last litter together, they had a Red male, Cream Pt male and Iris, a Chocolate Tortie female. You can expect possibly some bicolors also in the litter.
Unfortunately, there was a trade off with this good news, Iris is no longer pregnant. One day her nipples were pinked up and the next day they were not. Because of this, she will be put with Willie next time around. Willie is a more distant relative and has no relationship with my girl's line. Willie is Iris's grandfather. He has an excellent heart so I think this will make a great match.
As for Rose, she went back in to heat a few days after breeding to Kodie. Kodie mated her one or two times at the beginning of the week but then became disinterested. So I hopefully did not make the wrong decision, but I put her in with Toy on Thursday and they mated within 30 minutes. So if she does get pregnant, I will be watching carefully to see when she pinks up. That will be one of the ways I can tell who the father is. Also the delivery date will be another determining factor as well as if there are any bicolors in the litter. I will probably have to DNA test some in the litter to see who the father is. I just know that Rose is now 3 years old and has never gotten pregnant. I was eager for her to mate and Kodie just wasn't interested. Kodie will be going back to his breeder in Virginia on Tuesday. So we will just have to wait to see what happens with Rose.
Other than these news items, Diamond's babies are doing great. Her black Persian girl is the first to do everything, including weaning and potty training. She is the first to climb and discover everything. Diamond's bicolor is a mommy's boy to the max. He will cry as soon as I walk in the room and come up to me crying because he wants wet food. He is refusing at this point to eat the EVO. If memory serves me correctly, this is a very common trait of Diamond's bicolors. I think Winston just got weaned on to dry food a few weeks before he went to his new home. Funny how some lines are so different than others. He is a spoiled.
Petunia is an absolutely outstanding mother. I really could not want for more. She is also protective of her babies in a very polite way. She just puts her body between you and her babies. Her babies all hear my voice and start crying and coming to me now. They are beautiful group. Each is beautiful and unique in their own way. Oh how I wish that gorgeous Chocolate Point boy was a girl. I call him Little Miracle Jr. because of his miracle birth. I would keep him in a heart beat if he had been a girl. But unfortunately, he is too related to Miracle to keep him as a breeder. The Seal girl reminds me so much of Sweet Annie. They all are adorable. They have just turned 14 days old. In a weeks time, I will start trying to potty train them.
Hydrangea is doing great. She is due in 2 more weeks. I know she will be so happy to be a mom again. Hopefully this year, she will not be nursing 3 litters all at once and can dedicate her love to her own babies. I am so looking forward to seeing her with her babies. She deserves it.
My camera is dead and I can't find my camera cord. I will have to order another one. That is the reason for no videos or updated photos in the last few weeks. I did get a funny picture from the web cam this week of Petunia nursing her babies on her back. She is so funny.

Cattery Updates
April 21, 2016
I just wanted to update you all on all the newest pregnancy, mating and the litters.
Today, Iris was confirmed pregnant by Miracle. She is on Day 16, so this was early confirmation. Her babies will be expected right around June 8th. They will be ready to leave the Cattery around September 7th.
Rose was bred on Monday through Wednesday this week to Kodie. He is from the Cattery I am working with in Virginia. He is a Chocolate Tabby Extreme carrying the dilute gene. His eye color is not the best but mixed with Rose's awesome eye color, I would expect great eye colored Persians. They both are Himi carriers so there should be Himis in the litter. We would have to wait and see what the Himi eye color will be. It would be Rose's first litter. You can see his photo above. I don't know if Rose is carrying the dilute gene so we will find out. Her pregnancy verification is May 9th or 19th. If she is pregnant, her babies will be due around June 22. They would be ready to leave the Cattery around September 21. I am trying to bring in the Tabby/Agouti gene in to my Cattery but I am going about it the hard way. You have to have both parents either carry or be a tabby in order to get tabbies. So there will be no tabbies in the litter but there will be 100% tabby carriers capable of producing tabby markings, including Lynx. The Cattery in Virginia will have first pick of a kitten. My Cattery will be keeping, hopefully, one kitten from this litter since Kodie is an outcross.
That only leaves Holly. She is suppose to have pregnancy verification next Wednesday but I don't have high hopes that she will be pregnant since Toy does not have sperm, per Dr. Williams. If she is not pregnant,y I am trying to make arrangements for her to breed to Kodie.
Diamond's two babies are doing great. I am starting to wean them since Diamond is now up to her old tricks. It will be better once I have the web cam up and running in the Toddler Room so I can really view what she is doing or not doing with them.
Petunia is an awesome mother. All those babies are so fat they look like they are going to pop. She is very protective. The miracle baby has my heart. His name should be Little Miracle Jr. He is gorgeous with no ill effects from his hard birthing. He is an extreme Chocolate Point. I would have kept him in a heartbeat if he was a girl. But no, I saw his sacks and he is a boy. If you have watched the litter on the camera, you will know that they love rolling and laying on their back playing with themselves all before they turned 6 days old. Today is their one week birthday. They already have some of their eyes opening. It is going to be a sweet litter.
My sweet Hydrangea is doing great. She has gained the same amount as she did her first pregnancy with 4 kittens. Her babies are due around May 15th. They should be ready to leave the Cattery around August 14th. The Cattery in Virginia will have first pick of the litter. I am hoping to keep a Tortie girl from the mix. She was bred to Romeo, a Flame Point Himalayan with beautiful blue eye color. His father is the famous CH Lake Hyco Brown Thrasher.
Pansy will be getting spayed in the few weeks. She will be 6 years old soon and has had many litters so it is time. Diamond will be rebred in the Fall or late summer since she had a small litter. I need to allow enough time for her to recoup her body. Her babies leave around June 25th.
Hopefully I didn't forget anything. Hopefully with all these litters, we can fulfill all our current Priority Wait List requests for kittens. If you have any questions, please let me know. You can find out what colors to expect in the litters by going to our Available Kittens page.
Have a wonderful weekend ahead.

Diamond's Three Week Old Kittens Photo Shoot
April 17, 2016
Diamond and Miracle's babies are now three weeks old and doing great. They are starting litter box training and eating wet food. They will be moved down to the Toddler Room this week where they will be able to have more space and toys. Both these precious babies are very sweet, thanks to Miracle's super sweet personality. The Bi-Color is just like his mommy and the black reminds me so much of Little Miracle. Both have nice big smooth round heads. The Bi-Color is show quality and very cobby with a perfect head. You can view the complete photo shoot in Diamond's Nursery 2016.

Petunia and Miracle's Newborns
April 15, 2016
Last night between 5:20 p.m. and 8:40 p.m., Petunia delivered her first litter. She has 3 Himalayans and 1 Persian. The Persian is a black doll face. The Himalayans will show their colors in the next few weeks but due to their fur color at birth, I am expecting one Extreme Face Chocolate Point and two Doll Face Seal Points. One of the Seals does look to be a male at this point. I am trying not to disturb the litter too much the first few days but will check again in a few days time as to the sex. Petunia is an extremely protective mother. She had a fit when I went to weight them this morning and clean their butts. So that is why I would like to wait a bit. The babies are doing great. The delivery was very hard. The largest Himi and largest baby was the first down the canal. It got stuck in her birth canal. All that I could see was a tail hanging out. The sack had already been broken. This went on for 30 minutes and I knew I would have a dead baby since it had been in the birth canal for so long. Well, I have never had to try to get a baby out by just the tail before. I sure hope I NEVER every have to again. I finally had to just tell myself to pull because it would be dead anyway. One paw was coming in and out. So I took both and held on for dear life as she went through several contractions and I was able to pull. The baby also got stopped midway. Poor Petunia was screaming but we finally got the baby out. After that I decided to rub and rub and rub that baby. And you know what ... it was alive. It was turning purple so I had my magic drops to help with the breathing and I continued to rub and the baby continued to scream. I worked hard on his paws where I had pulled to get the circulation going. He or she is a miracle baby. I am in awe and thank God for allowing him or her to live. I had to watch him closely for the first 12 hours and hand feed him since he was weak. I set my alarm for every 2 hours to get up and check on him. When I got up at 6 a.m. this morning to check, he was nursing on mom. At 10 a.m. this morning, I weighted everyone and everyone had gained and actually had gained quite a bit. I was ecstatic. I am especially drawn to this little fighter. He or she definitely knows how to use their lungs. Actually the whole litter does. Petunia has been cleaning them though I don't think at this point, she is cleaning their butts. She definitely gets upset when I do it. The web camera has been on since Petunia was put in the Nursery with her babies last night. It helps me to view her and her babies without disturbing them. It also allows my Priority Wait List and Adoptive Families to view these babies. Diamond and her babies have been moved to my bedroom for now while I get the Toddler Room ready for them. I hope to move them down to the Toddler Room in the next few days. There will also be a web camera down there for viewing them also. Diamond's Bi-Color boy saw me come in the room the other day and started crying and running towards me. It melted me. He is not even 3 weeks old. Both babies are precious and are going to be super sweet just like their father, Miracle.

Cattery Updates
April 9, 2016
Wanted to write a quick update to let everyone know of all the things going on at the Cattery. Yesterday, three of my breeders went down for their HCM scans at The Sound Cat in Wilmington, NC. Little Miracle, Iris and Toy Drum all had their HCM scans and all hearts were normal. We have now scanned everyone for the year. YEAH! Toy Drum also had a urine test to see if he had any live sperm in his urine. Unfortunately, he did not. So that is the reason for all the matings that he had that were not successful. Dr. Williams recommended neutering him but I am not quite ready to give up. I have decided to give him some vitamins and herbs that are suppose to support and increase the quality and quantity of his sperm. After he has been on this regiment for a month or two, I will take him back down to The Sound Cat for another urine test. If Dr. William still can not find any sperm in his urine, Toy will be neutered and available for adoption. Toy has an outstanding pedigree and I need to do everything I can to preserve it to the best of my ability. I am not sure what caused Toy to stop production of his sperm. He just mated with Hollyhock and we will know if he got her pregnant in 3 weeks but I am not hopeful at this point.
So on to happier news ... during our time down at The Sound Cat, Dr. Williams let us know that Dr. Meurs at NC State is really close to finding the markers for Persian and Himalayan HCM. You don't even know how thrilled I am to hear that. She thought we might be able to have a DNA test in 6 months. That would mean that every Persian and Himalayan parent could know with a simple DNA test if there cat or kitten has the HCM gene. This DNA test will be invaluable to the Persian and Himalayan breeder in order to access every breeding cat for HCM. This is such great news. It should be a big dose of reality to those Persian and Himalayan breeders that have not been supportive of HCM scanning or supporting the Persian and Himalayan HCM Fund at Winn Feline Foundation. Dr. Williams said she has sent a lot of blood samples to
Dr. Meurs for her Persian and Himalayan HCM project. We want to thank Dr. Williams for her support of the Persian and Himalayan breed and breeders who scan for HCM.
Hydrangea is now confirmed pregnant by Romeo. Romeo is an outcross from Kelley Katz Cattery. Romeo is an extreme Flame Point Himalayan carrying the Chocolate gene. He does not carry the dilute gene. Romeo was scanned for HCM at 5 years old and has a normal heart. We expect 100% Himalayans from the mating. We should have Seal Points, possibly Chocolate Points, Black Tortie Points and hopefully a Chocolate Tortie Point. She should deliver around May 15th. Kittens would be able to leave the Cattery sometime after August 15th. We may look to keep one kitten from this litter since one parent is an outcross. The other Cattery may have first pick of the litter. We will determine that once this litter is born and once Miracle's litter with JJ (Chocolate Patched Tabby) is born at the other Cattery around the same time. These were mutual breedings and each Cattery has to fulfill obligations to the other Cattery first before picks on the litter. You can see a picture of Romeo on the Available Kittens page. Pam is going to try to get me an updated picture of Romeo.
Petunia and Miracle's babies are due this coming week. She had her tummy shaved today. She is bursting at the seams. She has already gained 35% since her mating. I expect her to have at least 4 kittens but I think she will have more than that. I mean, she is huge. She just hit the 10 lb. mark today. Her babies are expected sometime between Tuesday through Thursday or Friday. I am so looking forward to seeing what she and Miracle produce together. We are really hoping for some Chocolates!!
Diamond's babies turned 2 weeks old yesterday. They are doing great. I got some pictures of them out on their blanket this morning. That boy is looking so good and the girl is an absolute sweetheart. You can see Miracle's sweet personality in her. You can see the pictures in Diamond's Nursery 2016. They have their eyes open and both are now walking. The girl had her eyes open and been walking since one week old ... amazing.
Iris was bred to Little MIracle this past week. I will know in three weeks time if she got pregnant by him. I so hope so. Can you say 100% Chocolates?
And last but not least ... we have a visitor in our Cattery. His name is Kodie. He belongs to Pam at Kelley Katz Cattery. He has his own room while staying here. We are waiting for Rose to come in to heat so she can bred to this boy. Kodie is a Chocolate Tabby Persian carrying the dilute gene. Rose is a Black Persian carrying the chocolate and dilute gene. If Hollyhock does not get pregnant by Toy, we are considering having Holly bred to Kodie. Now the wait is one.
So as you can see, things are hopping along here at the Cattery. Please stay tuned this week for news of Petunia and Miracle's babies.

Diamond and Miracle's 8 Day Old Babies
Slide Show Available
April 2, 2016
Diamond's babies are now 8 days old and are growing so very fast. Our Priority Wait List and Adoptive Families have been able to view the babies 24/7 since the beginning through our web camera. The biggest baby is the Black girl who is one very smart girl. She already started walking around two days ago. I had come in to the Nursery to find her sleeping on the floor right next to the birthing cage. So I had to put up a barrier. I mean, she gets up on all 4 legs and walks. It truly is amazing. Diamond's Bicolor boy started opening his eyes two days ago. As of today, one eye is fully open and the other one is half way open. This boy is so solid and cobby. Both have very nice round heads. Both have purred on the nipple right from the start. I can't wait to see the changes in a few more weeks. Enjoy the slide show pictures of this litter by clicking on the picture above or in Diamond's Nursery. Please remember, it is very hard to take pictures of black kittens. What with them moving around and the dark coloring, the camera had a very hard time focusing.

Cattery Updates
March 30, 2016
Everyone at the Cattery is doing great. We should know by the end of the week if Hydrangea and Rose are pregnant. Petunia is bursting at the seams. Her babies are popping out her sides. I took the above picture yesterday morning because of how she loves to sleep. Normally when my girls are pregnant, they don't like to be on their backs because it is uncomfortable with the weight of their babies on their spine. But not Petunia, it is her favorite way to take a nap. One night this past week, she let me keep my hand on her tummy for quite a while. I could feel the babies movements. It is too early yet to feel the kicking. Usually when I start giving the mothers the Kitty Bloom Wate is when the kicking really ramps up. So in about two weeks, Petunia should be delivering her babies. I can't wait to meet them. I am hoping for some Himalayans in the litter. We hope to see 50% Himis and 50% Chocolates, but that is just based on statistics. It is always like unwrapping the gifts during delivery.
Diamond's babies are doing great. About two nights ago, I started giving her the herb, Marshmallow, to increase her milk production. The herb sure is working great. Her babies' weights are really picking up and she has more than enough milk now. I think in the past, with her other three litters, she just did not have enough milk without the help of my hand feeding or another mother feeding her babies. This time, the litter is a breeze and Diamond has turned in to a very good and attentive mother. She is still not cleaning their butts to stimulate them to go, so I do that, but it sure beats having to do it all, which is what it has been like in the past with her. She also is staying in her birthing cage and rarely leaves their side. She is also becoming protective of them. I love seeing these changes in her. Tomorrow the babies will be one week old. Hopefully I can get a video and new pictures in the next few days. Our Priority Wait List families have been watching them on our live camera, which is available to them 24/7. The camera has been great for me also. I can not bother Diamond but still see what is going on in the Nursery with her and her babies. It has been great.

Diamond and Miracle's Babies
March 26, 2016
Last evening, March 25, 2016, after waiting all week, Diamond finally delivered her two babies. Her delivery took all of 30 minutes and was very easy for her. At 7:10 p.m., she had a 88 gram male Black and White Bicolor Persian. At 7:45 p.m., she had a 100 gram female Black Persian. We are thankful that she did not need a C-Section. We were worried since we thought she would deliver between Monday or Wednesday of this week. Both babies are doing great. They have already gained quite a bit of weight with in the first 12 hours, which is excellent. The Bicolor is very solid and cobby with a white triangle on his face. The female Black Persian ... wow ... I have never seen such long hair at birth. She reminds me of those human babies who are born with a full head of long hair that sticks straight up in the air. These may be doll face Persians but we will have to wait till their eyes open to get a better idea. You can keep up to date on this litter by checking in at Diamond's Nursery 2016. We will post updates, pictures and videos there. We will also post videos on Youtube. For the next few days, we don't want to disturb Diamond. Diamond has been known to not be a very good mom in my view. So with this litter, so far, she is being an excellent mom. She is protective and is staying put with them and nursing them. So it is very important that she bond with these babies and the next few days without interference will allow it. We will try to get new photos and videos in a few days. For our Adoptive Families and the Priority Wait List, we have a treat. You can view Diamond's babies live on our Webcam. We just ask that, at this time, you do not move the camera around since we do have it in the birthing area and don't want to disturb mommy. This is also how I will monitor them throughout the day. I will be going in to weight them twice a day and hand feed Diamond. At this point, she does not want to even leave the area where her babies are at to eat, drink or even use the small litter box in the birthing cage. We are so pleased that Diamond in making a turnaround in how she mothers. We are thrilled.

Cattery Updates
March 23, 2016
We have just published Pansy and Willie's 13 Week Old Kittens Victorian Carriage Photo Shoot. It can be viewed in Pansy's Nursery 2016. Lovey and Velcro were both hand delivered to their new parents on March 17, 2016. The Toddler Room is very quiet now that they are gone. I have heard from both parents and everything is going great. Both girls had no adjustments to their new environment. Personally, I think the girls are loving all that individual attention at their new homes. We look forward to seeing them grow in pictures and hearing all about their adventures in their new families. Pansy was lost without them and just wanted to stay near their smells in the Toddler Room. She was very bonded to these two girls of hers. She is such a terrific mother.
I am writing this blog from my bedroom as I am awaiting the arrival of Diamond's kittens. She is calm and as cool as a cucumber with no signs of impending labor. So the wait is on. I hope she does not wait too long because it could lead to a baby not being able to fit through the birth canal. Her last two litters were born via C-Sections because one kitten was too big to fit through. So stay tuned for news.
Petunia is doing great and is on Day 43 of her pregnancy. She really packed on the weight right at the beginning. I think she is carrying quite a few kittens. They are now popping out of her sides. She now has just about 3 weeks more to delivery of her babies. She will be a first time mommy.
I am currently waiting for pregnancy verification on Rose next Friday, April 2. She was mated to Toy Drum about a few weeks back. There is some question of if his sperm is viable since he did not get any of the three last girls pregnant. If he fails to get Rose pregnant, I will take him in for a urine test to see if we can find normal sperm swimming in his urine. Yes, some do swim in male's urine. It really is the less invasive way of finding out. If we can not find any live sperm, he will be neutered and put up for adoption. He does not spray so it should be easy to place him.
I am also awaiting pregnancy verification on Hydrangea by next Friday, April 2nd. She had gone up to Virginia for breeding with a Flame Point Himalayan boy, carrying chocolate. I so hope she got pregnant by him.
Holly did not get pregnant by Toy Drum this past mating. I am waiting for her to come back in to heat. I am going to see what Toy's status is to see whether I will try one more time with Toy. Otherwise, I will have her go to Virginia to be mated with a Chocolate Tabby Persian boy.

We are no longer on Facebook. It was a sad loss to our Cattery, myself, my families and the community. For some reason, Facebook blocked me from access to the Cattery's business page as well as the Cattery's Facebook page where families and I would share. There was really no reason for it and I have been unable to get Facebook to resolve the issue. So now we will post our pictures on our Instagram page. We just loaded up the first two pictures this evening. Health articles that were normally posted on Facebook will be sent to my parents via email and posted on this blog. Feel free to follow us on Instagram under our Cattery name. We have numerous adoptive parents who have set up Instagram pages for their kittens and cats.. So it appears that Instagram is going to be winning our business.

Cattery Updates
March 11, 2016
Wow! Busy does not even begin to describe this past week at the Cattery. The part of the week, I was working upstairs to make a special bedroom for my special guests. For the last three days, we had company at the Cattery. Pam for Kelley Katz came for a visit with her three cats in order to go with us to The Sound Cat on Thursday for HCM scans, litter check and one pregnancy x-ray. In order not to inbred, Pam and I have joined forces to provide each other with HCM scanned outcrosses to strength our lines. Pam is dedicated to providing HCM scans on all her cats, just like me. As we left on Thursday morning at 7:00 a.m., my car was loaded to the gills. We didn't get back till around 7:00 p.m. last night. We had a total of 9 cats in the car and Pansy's two kittens. Crazy, crazy, crazy. What surprised me was that everyone on the way down was quiet in their carriers. We had put the stroller in the car for Pansy and her two babies along with a small litter box for the babies. You know that kittens have a small bladder and when they have to go, they have to go. The kittens were perfect during the ride down and perfect at the Vet. Pansy was as protective as ever. It was so nice to have the support of another breeder who also does HCM scans on all her breeders. It is a rare thing indeed.
All my girls scanned negative for HCM yesterday. YEAH! The girls that went were Pansy, Hydrangea, Hollyhock, Diamond, Black Velvet Petunia, and Rose. Rose was in heat and by the end of the day, Hydrangea was in heat. I mean, Pam had brought one of her whole boys and between my girls in heat and him, well ... it was a bit noisy on the car ride home.
Diamond had an x-ray to see if her babies could make it through the birth canal. She has already had two C-Sections in the past for huge babies. She has two babies all on one side and all normal size. YEAH! She is due around March 21st. We could even see their hearts beating. We will be posting her xray picture as soon as we can download it from Pam's phone. In the picture, if you look at the bottom on her one side, you will see the heads and the spines. We didn't get an x-ray on Petunia who is one month pregnant and carrying a big load. Baby bones do not show up on a x-ray until Day 48. Holly was only on Day 16 or 17 and Dr. Williams did confirm her pregnant through the ultrasound.
When we left for the long trip down, we left my sweet Little Miracle in charge of the kitchen with his new girlfriend named JJ, an Extreme Face Chocolate Tabby. JJ is one of Pam's girls. By the time we got back last night, they were cozy together. This morning, Little MIracle had laid claim on her as his girl. Our Hydrangea, who went in to heat during the car trip was taken to Pam's house today, Friday, for breeding to her Extreme Face Flame Point Boy named Romeo. I hope Hydrangea becomes his Juliette. We will anxiously await a word from her. Both JJ and Romeo have both scanned negative for HCM at this time. You know me ... I looked over the pedigrees with a fine tooth comb before allowing for these breedings to take place. JJ will stay with Miracle till Monday when I will go up to Virginia to pick up Hydrangea.
This weekend, I will be writing a detailed article on my findings regarding HCM Carriers in the Persian and Himalayan world. I think what I write will shock both Persian and Himalayan breeders, as well as every Persian and Himalayan parent and those looking for a Persian and Himalayan kitten. It is critical to get this word out as soon as possible. It appears from my talks yesterday with Dr. Williams, it could be up to another 8 years before a Persian and Himalayan DNA test is available. In the meantime, we are loosing this breed to HCM at an incredible rate. Not a week does not go by where I do not receive an email or phone call from someone I do not know who is crying on the phone and grieving because of the loss of their beloved Persian and Himalayan to this cruel disease. I feel their pain. I only wish more breeders could. With only a handful of breeders in the world scanning, this breed could go into extinction ... ... and no, I am not exaggerating. . On the positive side, according to Dr. Williams, it appears that a large grant was recently granted for this research. I am determined to beat the odds and am doing everything in my power to try to diminish the effects of this disease in my breeders without adversely affecting this breed by retiring breeders that are negative for HCM and could be of utmost benefit down the road to keeping this breed from extinction. Please stay tuned to my newest Persian and Himalayan HCM article which should be published in the next week.

Velcro's Special Visitor
March 4, 2016
This past Saturday, Velcro had a special visit from her Daddy, Travis. Unfortunately, Velcro's mommy, Reagan, has just started a new job in Georgia and was not able to be here. Velcro is Pansy and Willie's 11 week old kitten. Both Velcro and her sister, Lovey, had a ball playing with Travis and the Da'Bird. I have not found a cat or kitten yet that did not love the Da'Bird. Travis even had a chance to take the rather rambunctious Velcro and try to trim her nails as she squirmed and squirmed. Travis learned to wrap her up in a tight papoose in order to accomplish the job. I was proud of him. She then fell fast asleep on his legs. We all were so glad he could finally meet his new little girl. In just a matter of two short weeks, the Toddler Room will be quiet again as the girls go to their new homes. Pansy is still allowing them to nurse on her and I hope that keeps up, just in case I need Pansy to nurse Diamond's babies which are due about a 5 days after her girls leave the Cattery.

CH Victoriangdn's Black Velvet Petunia
&
CH Victoriangdn's Little Miracle
Litter Due: Approximately April 14, 2016
Petunia is verified pregnant as of February 29, 2016 by our very sweet and precious Little Miracle. Petunia is an Extreme Faced Black CPC Persian carrying the chocolate gene. This will be her first litter. Little Miracle is an Extreme Face Chocolate Point Himalayan. We do expect both Persians and Himalayans in this litter. According to color genetic statistics, they should have 50% Chocolates and 50% Blacks in both solids and points (Chocolate Points and Seal Points). The litter should be born around July 14, 2016.
We should be able to verify if Holly got pregnant around March 11th. So stay tuned.
Our Stroller Walk
February 22, 2016
Yesterday was absolutely beautiful outside with the sun shining and 70 degrees. We could not pass up getting our stroller out for our first stroll of the season. So Pansy and her two girls, Lovey and Velcro, got to be the first for a walk. The kittens thoroughly enjoyed it. I love this stroller. People are usually amazed when they look inside of it and instead of a human baby, they find my fur babies. This stroller even attaches to a bike. You can read about pet strollers on our web page entitled: The Pet Stroller.

Cattery Updates
& Priority Wait List
February 20, 2016
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. We have been busy here. Today our Cattery was blessed to have Lovey's parents, Chris and Heather, come and visit and play with their baby. Pansy's kittens played and played and played. They were even fighting sleep as they played. It was great to get to know Chris and Heather better and spend some quality time with time. They are also on the Priority Wait List for a sibling for Lovey. Almost all the Cattery girls came down to say hello and be introduced, including Diamond, whose tummy is getting bigger and harder by the day. Next week, one of Velcro's parents comes to visit and play with the girls. We love having company here. The girls will be leaving the Cattery starting March 17th.
Yesterday, we had to close our Priority Wait List to new families since we have 9 families on it wanting between 11 to 13 kittens. We are blessed to have this great group of families joining our Victorian Gardens Cattery family. We will open back up our Priority Wait List once litter picks have happened and we have more pregnancies confirmed. We never know how many kittens to expect for each litter. We don't want to have people wait too long for their kittens. We have started a list for people who turn in a Kitten Application and would like to be notified as soon as our Priority Wait List opens back up. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
Well, it looks like Toy Drummer just does not want to breed. We are not giving up on him just yet, but because we do have a full Priority Wait List, we have decided to let our precious and very sweet Little Miracle bred to some of our girls. He is a great stud. He is gets the job done!! I mean, he is even a better stud than his daddy, Willie Wonka. Yeah! After working with Toy for two years, Miracle is a blessing indeed. Once we have our litters born this year, we will work again to see if Toy will bred. He is very happy at my ex-husband's house, so he will be staying there for a while. Holly went in to heat this week and is now breeding to Little Miracle. So it will be so exciting to have our first all chocolate litter. Yes, I do believe Miracle will get the girls he breeds to pregnant. He is that good. I think his small ears, large wide head, cobby body and huge coat factor will really be a nice mix for these girls. Petunia was bred to Miracle last week. Rose, whose is now 3 years old and has never gotten pregnant by Toy, will now be mated to Miracle when she goes in to heat. So we are busy here and very thankful for our Little Miracle. He is one handsome, strong and sweet boy. It does not look like Hydrangea got pregnant by Toy. We will wait a few more days, just to be sure. We already have set it up with my breeder friend in Virginia, for her to be bred to her sire. He is the son of the famous, Lake Hyco Brown Thrasher, a Flame Point Himalayan, carrying the Chocolate gene. Her Chocolate Tabby girl will be brought here in March or April, to bred to our Little Miracle. We will have first choice of that litter. I have always wanted to bring the Agouti gene (Tabby Gene) to my chocolate program, so this will be perfect. That litter will be all chocolates also. YEAH! I can't wait to see what they produce together. This right now is the only way for the Cattery to bring in safe and healthy outcrosses since so few Persian and Himalayan breeders are scanning for the deadly heart disease, HCM and so many of the Catteries are carriers of viruses and diseases. Thankfully, this breeder cares about the breed and does scan her breeding cats. YEAH!

UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL
February 16, 2016
Today, Pansy's kittens turned 9 weeks old. Time has flown by. They got their first set of vaccines today: a 3 in 1 nasal vaccine and a regular Feline Leukemia shot. I know a lot of people have mentioned it is hard to see their faces on the videos. That is because of their black fur. It takes over their features. It is very hard to see black fur faces. So today while the girls were chilling after their vaccines, I grabbed the camera and started shooting. With black Persians, the key is to get the photos when the light is on them full face. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Pansy's Girls Newest Video
February 13, 2016
YouTube Link_
Check out Pansy's two Black Persian girls in their newest video, as they race around their Toddler Room. They are now 8 1/2 weeks old and will have their first set of vaccines on Tuesday when they turn 9 weeks old. How time as flown by. They have grown so mature so quickly. Both families have named their girls. The doll face is named Velcro and the borderline extreme is named Lovey, as in Lovey Dovey. These girls are smart. We just gave them the pink cube yesterday and within an hour, Velcro, had already figured out how to roll it around the room. They love all their new space since we took down the fences and opened up the room to them. We do still have fences up in areas that we do not yet want them in ... like the taller playstation. Just click on the YouTube link above to go to their newest video on our YouTube channel. You can subscribe to our channel to know when we publish our newest videos. Cattery Updates
February 7, 2016
Wow, we are very busy right now at the Cattery. We just got back this afternoon with Iris from the CFA Show in Newport News, VA. On Saturday, Iris earned her 6 Champion winners ribbons so now she is a Champion and will have that title in front of her name. She was extremely tired during the show from a horrific Friday night when everything that can go wrong, went wrong, including no hot water right before her last show bath. We did make it safely to the show but ... well, it is a long story. We will publish her best show videos in the coming week, as well as her pictures from the show. She was tired and scared in the judging rings and so didn't want to play with the judges. I can tell one judge loved her coloring. I will definitely post that video. Our Teaser Tom, Isaiah, had done her hair a lot of damage the last two weeks when she was in heat and he was on her. So she really had half the hair puff as the other Persians at the show. I think we are both tired of the bathes and are ready for a long break from showing. She was excellent in the long ride to and from the show. When she got home this afternoon, she took a long and well deserved kitty nap.
I came home to find Diamond all pinked up. Yes, she is now verified pregnant from Little Miracle. We will continue to watch and hope she successfully continues to carry her babies. She actually pinked up a day earlier than I originally thought. She had started looking like she was pinking up on Friday. Her due date will be approximately March 21st, if all goes well. We are wishing her the best. She and Miracle should have 50% Blacks and 50% Chocolates and Solids and Bi-Colors. There will be no Himis in this litter as she is not a Himi carrier.
Petunia had been acting really friendly all last week. So it was not a total surprise this afternoon to find she had started heat. Isaiah, I think, finally figured out how to mate. After some consultations with my ex-husband and with the breeder in Virginia, I decided it would be easier on me to just have her breed to Little Miracle. I was not willing to take a chance again on Toy not doing his job. Also to travel up to Virginia tomorrow after having such a hectic weekend, it would be better for my cats and I to stay home this week. So as I write this, she is in the kitchen with Little Miracle. He is a great sire and just loves his job. Of course, he has not had a lot of opportunities to mate, so I am glad he is having another opportunity this year. He has never mated Petunia before. She can be aggressive but I love that he is patient and will get the job done. We are wishing them well together for their first time.
This afternoon I moved Pansy's kittens to the Toddler Room. It is such a bigger room than their Nursery that it will take some time for them to get adjusted to the new space. I have the fence up right now until I can get to disinfecting the furniture and cat furniture on the other side of the fence. I hope to get a new video of them playing in their new digs early this week, so stay tuned.
Wow. You can now see why I said we are busy. We are keeping a watch on Holly to see if Toy did make her pregnant. So far, she hasn't pinked up but I am not giving up hope just yet.
Hope everyone has a great week ahead. I know for me, I am glad to be home!

Cattery Updates
February 2, 2016
This week is an exciting week at the Cattery. We are grooming our Victoriangdn's Hot Chocolate Iris for her CFA show on Saturday. She had a bath and blow dry tonight. We did try to sculpt her cheek wings but it really doesn't even look like we made a dent in them. She is wearing her coffee filter collar right now to keep her ruff from getting wet. I am sure she will be glad when the bathing is finally over with. We did get some new grooming tools to try out.
Second, Hydrangea came back today from being bred with L'il Toy Drum. She is now with the other three girls, Holly, Rose and Diamond. We are waiting pregnancy verification on Friday on Holly. Then next week on Diamond on Monday and Rose on Saturday and then the following Saturday on Hydrangea. We are waiting for Petunia to go in to heat and she will be bred to an outcross Extreme Face Flame Point Himalayan, carrying the Chocolate Gene, from a Cattery we are going to be working with in Virginia that scans all their Persians and Himalayans for HCM. It is so nice to finally find a breeder who has integrity and recognizes the importance of HCM scanning. This boy was scanned in 2015 and had a normal heart. He is now 6 1/2 years old. His father is the famous Lake Hyco Brown Thrasher. Brown Thrasher is no longer living but died at an old age. So I am feeling pretty confident about this boy's heart. We are hoping Petunia has a Tortoiseshell we can keep from this litter, either Black or Chocolate or a Chocolate boy who will be our new outcross. The other Cattery will have first pick of the litter in appreciation of the joint breeding. Iris is also being considered for this boy though my heart really wants her to bred to my precious boy, Little Miracle. They would make stunning chocolate babies.
Next, we are making the Toddler Room ready for Pansy's two girls to come down from the Nursery this week. We just had installed, on Friday, a NG wall heater to help our Central Heater with keeping the room and floors nice and toasty during those very cold winter days and nights. Pansy's kittens will be 7 weeks old tomorrow and are biting at the bit for more room. Last year, our 4 litters really were hard on the custom made large floor mat we have down in the Toddler Room. So we just took it up and are getting ready for a new one. Once that is completed and everything in the room is sanitized, the kittens will be coming down. They are going to love all the extra space. We will then ready the Nursery for our next litter(s).
So as you can see, we are busy here and some fun things are coming down the pike soon.

PRIMROSE
January 30, 2016
Today was bittersweet at the Cattery as we said goodbye to our precious Primrose. Primrose left with her new mommy, Sherri, for her forever home in Charlotte, North Carolina. Sherri stayed the whole afternoon, allowing Primrose time to get use to her and having fun playing with her and the gang. We spent a lot of time talking and getting to know one another. I am so happy Primrose found such a special home with Sherri. Sherri recently lost her 18 year old cat and was missing the companionship. Primrose is going to love being the Prima Donna in this home. We weighted Primrose before she left and she weighted a whopping 11.6 lbs. Sherri even bought a hot pink Sleepypod for Primrose for the long ride home. Primrose is going to be so missed here at the Cattery. When, as a breeder, you help your mothers bring their babies in to the world, a special bond forms that can not be broken. Primrose and I went through so many litters together. She was very protective of her babies and is famous for this on her YouTube videos. She would puff out her cheeks to warn me when she didn't like something when it concerned her babies. Sherri is now on the Priority Wait List for a kitten so, down the road, both Sherri and Primrose with be mothering a new kitten. Maybe I can hand deliver the kitten so I can see my sweet Primrose again and give her a kiss and hug. We wish Primrose and Sherri the very best as they adjust to one another and bond to each other as companions and friends. Primrose would sleep right next to my pillow each night. I hope to hear updates that she is doing the same thing with Sherri. Can't wait to see pictures of the two of them together. In the midst of leaving today, I forgot to get a goodbye picture of the two of them together. Hopefully we will see a picture soon of them loving on each other.

Nuvet Plus Feline Supplement
January 27, 2016
For some time now, Victorian Gardens Cattery has been looking for a good supplement for our cats and kittens at the Cattery, as well as for all our Adoptive Families. I wanted a supplement that would need to be in powder form in order to easily feed it to my Cattery cats and kittens. I also wanted a supplement that included a Digestive Enzyme in it, since I was already adding that manually to the food. I wanted more Folic Acid in the supplement since it was important for my pregnant mothers and the babies in the womb. I wanted more Taurine in all my cats diets since it is critical for heart function. Well, another breeder asked for my opinion about NuVet. I really had not heard of it and really was extremely busy at the time. So when a Sales Manager at NuVet called me and said she would send some samples to try, I knew I had to buckle down and do my homework. For years we had been using Kitty Bloom VM-900 for our pregnant mothers. However, we could not use Kitty Bloom VM-900 on any male kittens/cats for fear of urinary tract blockages that the Kitty Bloom's high mineral content brought on. So I put all the correct questions and concerns out to NuVet. It seems that NuVet Plus Feline Supplementation had more in it than I even bargained for. I liked what I heard and read but the real test would be IF my cats and kittens would like it. So I started measuring out their dry food and tossing the NuVet Plus Feline supplementation in their food and mixing it up to coat. Well, my gang loved it. The 6 week old kittens loved it. If that was not enough, I am thrilled that it has the following additional ingredients in it that many other pet supplements just do not have and that were not even on my radar. I was also very happy to see that this formula included Ester C which is my personal secret go to vitamin to beat a cold that might be coming on. Ester C really works for me personally. That really impressed me. If you would like to order NuVet, it can not be purchased at a store. It must be purchased through a pet professional or directly. I have set up a new page on the website for ordering this product direct from the company. Just click the picture on the website, to order your product. You can also order it by phone. Just provide them with my code when you order.
Kittens and those under 5 lbs would get 1/2 teaspoon a day. Adults or those over 5 lbs would get a teaspoon a day. Right now, I am feeding Pansy's babies 1/4 teaspoon since they are not yet 2 lbs. When they leave, they should be around 4 lbs, so I would recommend the 1/2 teaspoon by then.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. This product blends holistic supplements with the regular foundation supplements. So those who like the holistic approach are going to be excited to see it.
There is a 60 day money back guarantee. When you click the picture on our website, it will take you to where you can read the details on the guarantee.

Cattery Updates
January 26, 2016
Today was Christmas at the Cattery. LOL. Our 3 new heated cat beds have arrived. Miracle is loving it. Willie is trying to adjust to it. The last one is for Pansy's kittens when they get moved down to the Toddler Room. The floor can be cooler so we wanted them to have one of the heated bed. I got my gift ... an Air Purifier for my asthma. It also kills germs and viruses. I have had it running in the Family Room today for that room and tonight it is going to my bedroom with my girls in waiting and hopefully a great night sleep for me without asthma invading my sleep.
We have just completed picks on Pansy's litter of two black Persian girls. Both girls were reserved during picks by our Priority Wait List families. You can read about our policies for our Priority Wait List on our Prices and Policies page.
We now have three girls in my bedroom awaiting pregnancy verification. In addition, Hydrangea is right now being mated to Toy Drummer. She will return to the Cattery over the weekend. Here is a list of girls and their hopefully expected pregnancy verification dates:
Holly X Toy Drummer = Pregnancy Verification Date: February 5, 2016
Diamond X Little Miracle = Pregnancy Verification Date: February 8, 2016
Rose X Toy Drummer = Pregnancy Verification Date: February 13, 2016
Hydrangea X Toy Drummer = Approximate Pregnancy Verification Date: February 17, 2016
Now you know what that might mean ... 4 litters all due within 2 weeks of each other. I said last year that I would never do that many litters at one time. But you know those girls ... when one starts calling ... they all start calling. The only two not being bred currently is Petunia and Iris. Iris is too young. When Petunia does go in to heat, she will be going to Virginia to be bred to a boy whose father was the famous chocolate cat named, Lake Hyco Thrasher. This mating would be the blending of three famous chocolate lines. Iris's grandfather is the famous chocolate named Stepp'nstone Chocolate Drummer. Also in her pedigree through Willie is her famous great, great grandfather, the famous chocolate named My Ty My Fudgecicle. So we are very excited about this breeding. So stay tuned. If for any reason this mating does not occur, Iris will mate to my precious Little Miracle. I am sure he will be more than eager. Miracle and her would make some awesome babies together and they would be ALL chocolates (Chocolate Tortoiseshells, Chocolate Points, Chocolate Tortie Points, Solid Chocolates). Of course, IF Little Miracle is a dilute carrier, we could see some rare Lilacs, Lilac Points and Lilac Creams also. Can you say "delicious"? It is going to be a very busy Spring and Summer here at the Cattery. We will probably be taking a long break after the babies all leave in June/July. Now that is, IF, everything goes according to plan. As a Cattery owner, I know first hand that that does not always work out that way. LOL
Pansy's 5 1/2 Week Old Bouncing Black Persian Girls Videos

Pansy and Willie's 5 1/2 week old Black Persian girls are doing great. They are now potty trained, drinking from the water fountain and eating dry food. Such an easy litter. Pansy makes caring for them a breeze. Unfortunately, Pansy has been in heat for the last two weeks with no end in sight. So this means she has other things on her mind. She is nursing her girls but does want out of the room a lot to walk the halls calling for a male at the top of her lungs. Even during the night, she is calling. So much for a good night sleep. Pansy's kittens are going to be big girls. They are weighting on par with the largest kittens that Pansy has had in the past. They have now been dewormed 3 times and have only one more deworming to go and they are all done with dewormings. We did start Priority Wait List Picks for Pansy's litter yesterday. If any kitten(s) remain after picks, they will be placed on the Available Kittens page.
Just an update: Hydrangea is now in heat and is being taken over to Toy's house for breeding tomorrow. Tommy called today and gave me a surprise. It seems that Rose who is with Toy now is in heat and that last night Tommy woke up three times to her mating cries. So we are keeping are fingers crossed. Downstairs it is pretty wild in the Family Room with Pansy, Iris and Hydrangea all in heat and calling. Poor Isaiah just hasn't figured it all out yet. He is also playing favorites, much to disappointment of Hydrangea and Pansy. LOL. So it seems that almost all the girls came in to heat around the same time. They must know something that I don't.

Cheek Wings
January 20, 2016
My girl's line from Petunia to Primrose to Holly to Iris are known for their kittens and cats and those big fat cheek wings. Primrose didn't develop them until she was spayed. With Iris going to the CFA Show on February 6th, I knew I needed to do something about her cheek wings. So after some research, I have decided to sculpt her face into a round wide open expression. Oh boy. I do so with fear and trembling. Primrose and Buttercup with their massive cheek wings will be my first guinea pigs. If all works out, I can work my way up in skill to do Iris. I know Iris has changed her looks a lot since her Purry Paw Prints photo shoot but a lot of that change is those cheek wings. I plan on doing a video on either Primrose or Buttercup and the sculpting of those cheek wings into a round and wide open expression. Above you can see Primrose's latest pictures taken yesterday. You can also see those massive cheek wings. She is cute with them and I may leave them and only do Buttercup. Now that I look around, I see other girls that are in need of sculpting. I am going to be cheating and using my shaver to sculpt Primrose or Buttercup's cheeks. I plan on following up later with thinning shears and a sculpting knife. So stay tune for the before and after pics.
Of by the way, Primrose might be leaving us all at the end of the month for her new forever home. Sherri will be coming to see if Primrose and her connect. Sherri has already connected with her by her photos and videos. I knew in my heart that this day would come someday. It is so hard to let go. I still miss Peony, my baby, terribly. But I know she is happy in her new home being dotted on as a Princess. I think Primrose will be no different.

Victoriangdn's Hot Chocolate Iris
January 18, 2015
Well, we finally got some new pictures of Iris. She is a Holly and Toy Drummer baby from 2015. She had not had her bath yet and is getting one tonight. You can see that she has developed long cheek wings. I am not sure how that will go over at the show. The cheek wings come from my girl's line. I have been grooming her and getting her ready for the February 6, 2016 CFA Cat Show in Norfork, Virginia. She turns 9 months old on January 26, 2016. So she still is a baby in my eyes and gets pampered like one too. She weights a lot for her age. My guess is that she is now over 8 lbs. Tomorrow we will see about getting better pictures of her in natural light on brown velvet. I love that her ears have gotten smaller. She has changed a lot since her famous Purry Paw Prints photo shoot picture that is on our home page. Please drop by the show on February 6 to say hello and introduce yourself. We always love to meet our families, Wait List families and new people at the show.

Cattery Updates
January 17, 2016
It has been crazy here this past week. Pansy's two girls are doing great. We set up the live camera this week in her Nursery. I have been letting it run pretty much 24/7. The live camera is available to our Adoptive Families and to our Priority Wait List. Pansy's girls are now using the litter box. In fact, one of the girls is using Pansy's litter box which is quite high. Both girls started weaning on wet food this week. I tried several brands of kitten wet food and then switched over to my homemade cooked chicken wet food which was a hit. I think one girl is even starting to eat dry food since she is gaining quite a bit of weight but not eating a lot of the wet food. One girl is eating straight off the plate now. How I love to see that. This girls definitely are characters. We are hoping to do the Victorian Chamber Pot Photo Shoot in the next few days for their 5 week old birthday on Tuesday. We will try to get another video published something this week also. Pansy has been in heat for the last week which is always stressful on Pansy and her babies. She took that opportunity to try to wean them away from her. Hopefully she will be out of heat in the next few days. At least I hope so! We will be starting picks on Pansy's litter this week after the posting of the Chamber Pot Photo Shoot. I will send out a detailed disclosure on each kitten. After the email is sent out, we will start at the top of the Wait List and work our way down. The Priority Wait List can either pick or pass on the litter. If there are any kittens remaining after the picks, the remaining kittens will be placed on the Available Kittens page.
One girl after another has been going in to heat. YEAH! Holly went in to heat this week and was taken to Toy for mating on Wednesday. According to Tommy, he has been woken up each night, several times a night, to the screams of mating. I know when I brought Holly over to Tommy's house and went in to Toy's room, I immediately smelled a whole male smell coming from his litter box. That was a great sign to me. Toy appears to be very happy at Tommy's house. He says Toy loves Holly and follows her around everywhere.
Diamond is now in heat. Our Teaser Tom, Isaiah, is the one who alerted me to this afternoon. I am currently talking to a breeder who scans her breeder cats for HCM. We are talking about a mutual breeding with her Flame Point Himalayan carrying chocolate. He is 6 1/2 years old and was just scanned and scanned negative for HCM. If I can't get connected with her this evening, then Diamond will be put with Miracle for mating. He hasn't been mated since this time last year. Poor guy. I started him on special vitamins to hopefully get his sperm count up. I am sure he will be very happy to have Diamond this week if it does not work out with this breeder.
Then this evening, Rose started trying to get Isaiah's attention. She is now going in to heat. Yes, she didn't get pregnant from her last heat cycle. Toy did not appear to do his job. She can be aggressive with a male. She will probably be going over to Toy's house either on Monday evening or Tuesday. This time looks more promising.
As for Petunia, it does not appear that she got pregnant by Toy. So we will try again with Toy or will work with the other breeder to bred her to that Cattery''s Flame Point Himalayan carrying chocolate.
If any one has any questions, please let me know.
Have a great week ahead.

Who Said Litter Box Training Can't Be Fun ...

Who said litter box training can't be fun ... Pansy's two girls. They have other ideas of what you should do with a litter box. Their mother, Pansy, is now in heat and is rolling all over the floor. These two girls, now 4 weeks old today, watch her like I hawk and try to do exactly what their mother does. So today, twice, I found her doll faced Persian girl rolling around in the Feline Pine in their litter box. They will be needing that litter box really soon since they are now being hand fed wet kitten food. LOL.

Pansy's Baby Girls Newest Video
January 8, 2015

Pansy and Willie's two Persian girls are now 3 1/2 weeks old. Overnight they changed a lot. They are now starting to run and starting to play with each other. Last night we introduced them to their new litter box filled with Feline Pine. We will start weaning them next week. I can already tell their are going to have fun personalities and both are going to be talkers. I am still unsure if the one girl is a Tortoiseshell or a Black. Time will tell. Sorry about the lighting and the clarity of the video. The Cattery's camera has a hard time getting clear videos of dark color kittens. You can see more of this litter in Pansy's Nursery 2015. Enjoy.

Pansy's Babies 3 Week Birthday
January 5, 2016
Pansy's babies turned 3 weeks old today. They have been walking now for about one week. Their eyes are fully opened and they are looking around and following my voice. We hope to start potty training them this week or at least get the baby litter box in there for them. We are going to hold off with the weaning process for about another week. If we can get our new HD webcam up and running, our families will be able to see these two babies live at certain times during the day and night. We will also try for a new video this week. It is so cute to see them walking around and interacting with their mommy. These pictures were taken late last night. They have a small strawberry enclosed bed that they go in all by themselves to sleep. They love their strawberry but will soon be too big for it. It is so small that Pansy can not even fit in it. Stay tuned for a new video this week. As for the color ... I think we have one or two tortoiseshells but I am still not 100% convinced. We will start picks on this litter once I am sure about the coloring.
