DAHLIA
Renamed CoCo Puff
Female
Extreme Face
Black Persian
Born: June 29, 2012
Sire: CH Willie Wonka
Dam: The Perfect Pansy
Six Generation Pedigree
Adopted by The Wattays, Mt. Peasant, South Carolina
Dahlia is a gorgeous Black CPC Persian. Dahlia is a go getter. She is very active and loves to play with her litter mates to distraction. She is getting quite cuddly and loves to knead dough with her paws, just like her father, whom she has never met. The videos show her spunk. She has a gorgeous extreme face and should have the great eye color her mom has. She is our first extreme faced kitten that we have produced. What a perfect extreme face. She has her father's facial features. She will be shown in the future at CFA shows.

The Wattays with The Perfect Dahlia
Our precious Dahlia left our Cattery on October 20, 2012 for her new home with the Wattays. It was a bittersweet goodbye since we had planned on keeping Dahlia to show at CFA shows and become our first extreme faced female breeder. But God had other plans. See the Wattays were in deep mourning and grief over the loss of their 17 year Black Persian. Our Wait List had grown and we didn't know when we would be able to place a kitten in the arms of this grieving couple. So with peace in our soul, we offered the Wattays, our sweet baby Dahlia. She will get so much love from this very sweet couple. We will never need to ever worry about Dahlia. She will have an absolutely fabulous life. The Wattays will be showing Dahlia in CFA shows when she has had time to mature. We so look forward to them showing off our first extreme faced kitten. So stay tuned for news on Dahlia. Dahlia will also reside with Cleo, the Wattay's Black Labrador Retriever.
October 24, 2011 - Update from the Wattays
"Just wanted to let you know everything is going great. Dahlia seems to be adjusting very well. We have kept her separated from Cleo and they have been hearing and smelling each other from the closed bedroom door. I think curiosity has gotten the best of them because we introduced them tonight and surprisingly it was a very funny situation. I think we have a fearless feline on our hands. Dahlia stared at Cleo about an arms length apart for about five minutes and slowly eased her way over and put her paw on Cleo's nose. Cleo was very surprised because Ting Tang always ignored her most of the time. By the end of the night Dahlia was playing with the end of Cleo's tail. They aren't best buddies yet but keep your fingers crossed for us. ... She is laying beside me right now kneading her blanket. She tries to suckle the end of my nose in the wee hours of the morning. She is so precious I've about kissed her face off!! Dahlia is sending you kitty kisses and I'm sending you a big hug! "

October 27, 2012 - Update from the Wattays
"... the girls at the vets office fell in love with our baby. Dr. Fuller just held her and petted her before giving her the examination. He did have to give her a rabies shot because it is required legally here. He gave it to her on her lower right leg. She handled it very well. They want me to send them pictures of her so they can put her on their Facebook page. No one can resist her adorable little face!
I wanted to let you know that Ross has renamed her Coco Puff. How cute is that? She looks just like a little chocolate furball! We will definitely keep The Perfect Dahlia as her show name but it is a formal name. She is becoming friends with Cleo slowly but surely. They will walk up and touch each others noses and she is starting to attack Cleo's wagging tail. Cleo just looks at her and lets her play. It is hysterical. Ross has video of it and we will send it to you. She is not afraid of Cleo at all- I am amazed! She will lay beside her (not to close) but i am hopeful one day we will see them curled up together. We are letting her roam the house under close supervision of course-she is lightening fast. She just takes off and acts like a wild kitty running around like crazy. She has brought life and so much laughter and love back into our home. We have you to thank for that."

February 10, 2013 - Update on CoCo Puff
"Cleo and CoCo Puff are the best of buddies now. They sleep together quite a bit on Cleo's pillow in the living room. I think Cleo thinks CoCo Puff is her baby. They groom each other and play constantly. It amazes me that a little kitten that does not even weigh 6 pounds isn't scared of a 65 pound dog! CoCo Puff has 3 favorite toys she loves to play with-Her plastic Circle toy with the ball in it, a peacock feather that I have had for years(which by the way is totally destroyed now), and of course Cleo! She also loves plastic grocery bags. We lay 3 or 4 of them on the floor in the kitchen and she amuses herself at least for 30 minutes. She loves the noise she can make with them!! I hide one of her balls in the middle and she likes to try to find it. She also loves to chase me and Ross through the house. When she catches us she wraps her paws around our legs and then runs off for us to chase her. She has quite the personality! She also loves to be the center of attention. When Ross walks through the house coming home from work she will throw herself on the floor right in front of him and roll over on her back so he will scratch her belly!! How cute is that!!"

March 3, 2013 - Update on Coco Puff from her Mom
"CoCo Puff is growing up too fast. I want her to be a kitten forever. She is still the sweetest and most affectionate kitty that I have ever had, my little love-bug. She follows me from room to room and Ross always says he sees the special bond between us. I can't imagine my life before my little baby girl. She means everything to me-so Thank You again for allowing us to take her. You will never know how much love she gets. I wish every animal was loved so much. I hope all is going great with you and your furbabies.
Delphinium
Female
Doll Face
Seal Point Himalayan
Born: June 29, 2012
Sire: CH Willie Wonka
Dam: The Perfect Pansy
Six Generation Pedigree
Adopted by The Wattays, Mt. Peasant, South Carolina
Delphinium was named for the delicate blue flower. Delphinium is a sweetie and a character wrapped up in a very cute and enormous coat of Seal Point fur. Her coat makes up 50% of what you see in her pictures. Her fur is quite fluffy and long. She looks like a fluff ball in the videos. She has nice cobby legs. Delphinium is a character as you can tell by the videos. She loves to play and run around crazy. She is even very good at playing with herself. She is very smart and was the first to use the litter box. She also mastered the litter box at a young age. She has cute blue eyes that are dark around the rim and lighter on the inside. They will naturally darken as she ages. She has dark seal points that should darken even more as she matures. She will make a nice lapcat in the right home environment since she is a sweetie and is gentle. We even have had her sleeping in our arms like a baby when she was ready for her nap. You may see more of Delphinium by going to our YouTube videos.

Jill with Delphinium, Seal Point Himalayan
Our sweet and very beautiful Delphinium went to live with her new mommy, Jill on October 12th, her sister and littermate, Dianthus. She will also reside with Maggie, Jill's 12 1/2 year old Black cat. We are missing Delphinium so much. Delphinium captured our hearts with her sweetness and perfect personality. We hope Jill keeps us updated on how they are doing along with pictures. We miss you Delphi.
November 23, 2012 - Update and Pictures of Dianthus and Delphinium
Jill recently sent two pictures of Dianthus, Black Persian and Delphinium, Seal Point Himalayan as they help her with quilting. Per Jill: " They are great "helpers" during quilting time, and are very sweet & loving cats. Maggie is still not happy. She growls and grumps at them, but that's it....she's all talk. Even the grumpiness is getting to be less and less." Maggie is Jill's 12 1/2 year old cat. It will take time for Maggie to get use to having two playful kittens in her home and castle. Thank you Jill for the update.
March 1, 2013 - Update on Delphinium
This week Jill gave us an update on Delphinium, Seal Point Himalayan. The girls had their spay surgeries on Monday. I must say, I am impressed with the girl's Vet. Not only did he keep the girls overnight, but he is making them wear a collar for a whole week so they can not lick or bite their stitches. This greatly reduces the chances of infection. Now that is a very conscientious Vet. We are so glad to hear that the girls made it through their surgeries with flying colors. They were up walking around in their cages at the Vet soon afterwards, still a little droggy from the drugs. Jill has renamed Delphinium, Gemma. Here is her update: "Here are a couple of pictures of the girls. They aren't exactly liking the cone head look, but they aren't fighting it either. They came home from the vet last night along with some pain meds. Six of the vet techs came out to say goodbye. Apparently the girls were attention hounds and had everyone wrapped around their little paws. You can't see Gemma's pale blue eyes here because she's sleeping, but they really are very pale. The girls decided a couple of months ago that they wanted big girl food instead of kitten food. I've been mixing the kitten food with adult food since then. The vet says I should wean them off the kitten food over the next couple of months. It shouldn't be hard. They are not fussy eaters at all. Currently they are getting a mix of Nutro kitten and Nutro adult indoor food. I'll start lowering the amount of kitten food I mix in the next time I buy food. Finally, their weight. Gemma is the skinny petite one at 6.1 lbs. Its funny when you see them next to each other because they look like they're the same size. Then you pick them up and realize Gemma is all fluff with her really long fur. " Thank you Jill for the update.

The Gigantic Playstation
April 21, 2013
Jill wrote in on April 9th and sent us some pictures of the girls, Delphinium and Dianthus. Both are Pansy's girls from her first litter. Delphinium is a Seal Point Himalayan renamed Gemma and Dianthus is a huge Black Persian renamed Vodoo. Jill sent these pictures as she was putting together this gigantic playstation for her girls. It was actually a playstation we had been thinking of purchasing for our Cattery. Her are some of Jill's comments: "I bought a new ginormous cat tree and it was delivered today. I'm trying to put it together with the "assistance" of 3 cats." Way to go Jill. I am sure the girls are loving their new huge playstation.

Beautiful Delphi
Female Doll Faced Seal Point Himalayan
June 12, 2013
Pansy's little girl from her first litter named Delphinium has blossomed into a beauty little girl. Jill renamed Delphinium, Gemma. This past week, Jill sent us some close ups of Delphinium. Her eyes have turned out a wonderful medium blue. Delphinium is not quite one year old, so her eye color should continue to darkened till she reaches the age of 18 months old. We can't wait to see her eye color at 18 months old. We were so excited to see this terrific eye color from Pansy and Willie's baby. Delphinium inherited Willie's unusual cream mustache. Just look at those long and curled whiskers. And the hair ... oh my ... she has Buttercup's fabulous coat. Thank you Jill for providing these close up pictures for all to enjoy.

Dianthus
Female
Extreme Face
Black Persian
Born: June 29, 2012
Sire: CH Willie Wonka
Dam: The Perfect Pansy
Six Generation Pedigree
Adopted by Jill in Reston, Virginia
Dianthus is a female Black Persian. She is a big kitten and very solidly built with a large head and cobby legs. She is by far the largest of the litter. We do predict that she will be a nice large size cat. She is very well balanced. She has nice large eyes which are copper and should have the wonderful color of her mother’s copper eyes. Her coat was jet black and very silky when she was born. We predict that this silky coat will be her mature fur when it comes in. Silky coats on Persians are very easy to take care of. Dianthus is self assured and knows what she likes and is not afraid to ask for it. She talks quiet a bit with funny little noises and meows when she wants wet kitten food or you to give her attention. She runs up to us as soon as she sees us. She loves people to play with her as well as her litter mates. You may see more of Dianthus by going to our YouTube videos.

Our Dianthus went to live with her new mom, Jill, on October 12th along with her sister and littermate, Delphinium. She will also reside with Maggie, Jill's 12 1/2 year old Black cat. Dianthus is the largest kitten we have had at our Cattery to date. When Jill brought Dianthus to her required Vet appointment, Dianthus weighted in at 4 lbs 10 oz. We look forward to seeing pictures and hearing how Dianthus is developing.

Daffodil
Renamed Clio
Female
Doll Face
Seal Point Himalayan
Born: June 29, 2012
Sire: CH Willie Wonka
Dam: The Perfect Pansy
Six Generation Pedigree
Adopted by The Buckhalts in Fayetteville, NC
Daffodil is a gorgeous female Seal Point Himalayan. She is well balanced and portioned with medium Seal colored points, which should darken as she matures. We almost kept her for the Cattery as a breeder. It was a hard decision. Her eyes have a darker band on the outside going to lighter on the inside. We can't wait to see her eye color develop and mature when she hits 18 months old. She loves to play with her litter mates. She plays hard with the best of them. We can never figure out who her best friend is because she is close to all her litter mates. She is a sweetie and a beauty.
**********
Our beautiful Daffodil went in to the arms of her new family on October 8, 2012. They had waiting since May 16th for her. Their father was deployed in a war zone at the time they put down their kitten deposit. Right before he was deployed to a war zone, their six year Cream Persian died of HCM. It was a horrible time for the family with this loss as well as the loss of their father to war. Even in the midst of the harsh setting of war, he found time to watch Daffodil grow up through our YouTube videos and keeping up on the news on our website. He would write me and say it gave him a connection to back home. Daffodil's new family includes a 4 year old little sister, a 17 year big brother and a 5 year Dachshund (just like our Daisy).
October 18, 2012 - Update from the Buckhalts
" Daffodil is doing extremely well. The Vet said she looked great. ... She is adjusting well to her new home and has found a good friend with our dog Oscar."
" Daffodil is doing extremely well. The Vet said she looked great. ... She is adjusting well to her new home and has found a good friend with our dog Oscar."
January 12, 2013 - My Beloved Daffodil
On December 5, 2012, Daffodil went in for her spay surgery at Cross Creek Animal Hospital in Fayetteville, NC and never came home alive. It appears from the details in the Autopsy Report provided to the Cattery on January 9, 2013, that Daffodil was forcefully intubated causing multifocal acute submucosal edema to her Larynx. Upon notification of Daffodil's unfortunate death, the Cattery immediately sought the opinion of our own Veterinarian, who is a Pathologist. According to our Veterinarian, Daffodil died from a Laryngeal Spasm. That Veterinarian's opinion coincides with at least two other Veterinarians who have read Daffodil's Autopsy Report. We now have the "Spay Neuter Surgery Information Sheet" available to inform adoptive parents that all Persians and Himalayans naturally have elogated soft palates and that forcing intubation on the kittens could damage their mucous membrane with edema and cause the danger of post-extubation airway obstruction or Laryngeal spasm. This is why it is so important to make sure that your Veterinarian is aware that Persians and Himalayans naturally have elogated soft palates and that they need to be very gently intubated with no irritation on the Larynx or surrounding tissues. The loss of Daffodil to an unnecessary avoidable death has deeply grieved our Cattery. She is the only adoptive kitten death we have ever had. She will always be remembered as the bright, loving and very beautiful kitten that she was. When I had to look in Pansy's sweet face and tell her that her daughter, which she entrusted to me to find a good home for, died, well ... it was just too much to bare. Even to this day, Daffodil brings tears to my eyes when I watch her videos or look at her gorgeous pictures. Her wonderful pictures and videos are available in Pansy's Nursery 2012. I am deeply saddened by her unnecessary death.
Daffodil, my sweet precious love, God will always give you so much love up in heaven. Someday we will meet to be forever together up in our mansion in the sky. We love you. Pansy and Susan
