On December 24, 2011, our very sweet and loving Joshua went to his new home with the Carters in Wake Forest, North Carolina. Joshua was a long awaited Christmas present for Kathy from her husband. Joshua will be the apple of their eye since he will be the only furball in this home. It is bittersweet, once again, because I am grieving the loss of this loving and precious lapcat, but I am so happy he has found this very loving home. Joshua is a true sweet heart. It may take him a little while to warm up to strangers but once he does, he will melt anyone's heart. From what we have heard so far, he has already melted the hearts of the Carters. When we spoke to Kathy on Christmas night, she told us that this was the best Christmas she had ever had. We wish Joshua the very best love in his forever loving family. You can read updates on how Joshua is doing in his new forever home by going to the "Adopted Kittens" page.
December 23, 2011 - The Perfect Calla Lily
Another gorgeous picture of Calla Lily after an exhausting time of decorating the Christmas tree. You can't tell that she is spoiled rotten. She looks like a lamb with her lion cut. She truly is precious. Thank you Heather for taking the time during this busy season to share this adorable picture with us. You can read more about Calla Lily in her forever home by going to the "Adopted Kittens" page.

We want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very "Merry Christmas". It is getting time to put up the Christmas tree and trim it. It should be very interesting this year with four new kittens underfoot. We anticipate that some of the ornaments will more than likely see the ground a few times. We do place special bells on the bottom branches in hopes that the kittens will play with those bells instead of the higher placed ornaments. Through the fast pace of this season, our hope is that each person takes time to reflect on the reason for this season, which is, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and His birth.
Due to the bad economic situation facing our great nation in 2011 and 2012, we are going to hold off making any plans for any new litters in 2012. We are a responsible Cattery and do not want to bring precious babies into the world and not find loving homes for them. If you are interested in a potential litter for 2012, please let us know by email or phone. We will not have any new litters until we have placed Benjamin, Joseph and Joshua, our 2011 kittens, in their loving forever homes. They are truly precious and loving boys and deserve the very best loving and responsible homes. We love these little boys and are so enjoying them while they are at the Cattery.
Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!

Wow. How time has flown since we last blogged. The Cattery went through Hurricane Irene since the last time we blogged. Thankfully everyone came through safe and sound.
The babies that were adopted this summer (Jed, Zack and Viola) are doing great in their new homes. We are so thankful that they went to great and loving homes. We have updated the Adopted Kittens page with the parents comments on their kittens. There is a "must Read" that is very funny from the Jacobson family that was published today.
Our three remaining adoptable male kittens are now 5 months old and are scheduled for their neuter surgery next week. They are such sweet and beautiful boys. Joshua is definitely a loving and affectionate lap kitten. Joshua loves sitting on my lap as I work on the laptop. He loves watching the computer mouse run around. He is a real charmer! He is also has a beauty and long white coat reminding me of Buttercup's fabulous baby coat. Joseph and Benjamin both have very full coats and getting fuller all the time. Joseph looks very much like Jed's newest picture. Even their personalities are quite the same. All the kittens love playing together. It is not unusual to see the kittens washing each other from ear to toe. They truly love each other and are great companions to each other. Joseph surprised us by actually turning out to be the biggest of Primrose's kittens considering he started out so tiny. Even Pansy, a real doll, is getting very heavy boned. She is really quite heavy and boy does she know how to charm. Her hair has darkened considerably. She really is a gorgeous Tortoiseshell. Benjamin still has those large and beautiful eyes with gorgeous color. It is not unusual to wake up in the middle of the night and find the kittens cuddled up next to me, especially Benjamin and Pansy.
We will try in the next few weeks to get updated pictures of the kittens. If you are interested in one of our three male kittens, please fill out the Kitten Application that can be downloaded from the Kitten Application page. You can either mail or email us the completed application. And of course, you can always contact us by phone.
Wishing you all a wonderful Fall season.

This week is a little bittersweet for us at the Cattery. Three of our kittens are leaving the Cattery with their new families for their new homes. They are going to great homes. It always gives us such peace to know they are going to wonderful forever homes where they will be totally loved. One family has waited since January for their baby. Another family has waited over a month for their two furbabies to grow up. We can't wait for their new parents to see them. We are very excited about that first glance at their babies. We have poured so much love and care in to these babies. In order for our kittens to look their very best for their new families, we are giving everyone their baths today. Even the mothers are getting a bath.
On July 24th, Petunia's kittens turned twelve weeks old and got their last set of vaccinations. Then yesterday, Primrose's kittens got their 4th dewormer. On July 31, Primrose's kittens will be twelve weeks old and they will get their last set of vaccinations. These two litters grew up so fast. We felt like we blinked and they were all grown up. It has been a very busy 13 weeks, but worth every minute of it. We have felt so blessed to have all seven of these kittens in our life. They have been a true blessing.

We have a great respect for those very patient pet photographers. We don't know how they do it. In a Slide Show in the Photo Gallery Page, you will find our attempt to give your a cute glimpse of our 2011 litters with the addition of Peony's photos (Torti Point Himalayan). She deserved some pictures since she has been short changed in the picture arena in the past. Joseph is looking so much like Jediadiah. Even Joshua looks quite a bit like Zachariah. Have fun identifying each kitten. In truth, we could not identify a kitten in one of the pictures and had a hard time in a few others. Please be patient, it may take a few seconds to load up the slide show.

Newest picture of Lily, Flame Point Himalayan, just posted on the Adopted Kittens page. She is beautiful and is seen with her companion, Alex, a Seal Point Himalayan. They are related by blood. They both have beautiful blue eyes. Thank you Heather for sharing this great photo of Alex and Lily.

Hi, my name is Zachariah. You can call me "Zack" for short. I just turned 11 weeks old on Sunday. My second mother calls me a Flame Point Himalayan. That's me in the picture on the left, sprawled out on the sofa. Yes, I am wiped out. You want to know why? Well, my mother packed all of my brothers and sisters up today and took us in this thing called a car to a person she called "The Vet". Boy, was it a long car ride with everyone of my brothers and sisters crying. I thought I would go crazy. Well, to be honest, I did my fair share of crying also. The car ride seemed like it went on forever. I mean forever. We finally ended up at the place my mother called "The Vet". Little did I know that the guy would be so friendly to me. He poked and prodded at me. What was that all about? He did it to my bothers and sisters also. I heard some of my brothers and sisters crying, but not me. I didn't cry once. It seems like we were in there for a long time. We all had to wait our turn for the poking and prodding. The Vet said we were all fine and we had passed our Wellness Exam. That's a relief! Don't want to a repeat of that. Then is was on for that dreadfully long ride home. We were all so tired we finally gave up crying and went to sleep. We were so happy to see home and our special room with our toys. I could not wait to just crash. As you can see from my brother Jediadiah's picture, he can barely keep his pretty eyes open. So now you understand very well why I am sprawled out in that picture. I hope to sleep the night away and then play, play, play all day tomorrow. I deserve it after the ordeal I had today with that guy named "The Vet"!
UPDATE: JULY 20, 2011
It has been a busy 2 weeks since we last blogged about the kittens. First off, Primrose's kittens had their first set of vaccines on July 11th and they are doing great. They got their second dewormer on July 13th. Then it was Petunia's kittens turn for their third dewormer on July 18th. And in between all that, we gave them each their second bath and blow dry on July 12th. Wew, we are tired. They are all scheduled at the Vet tomorrow for their wellness check. Petunia's kittens have their second set of vaccines on Sunday.
These kittens are active and very smart. So to keep them occupied, we introduced four new toys to the Cattery the week of July 10th. The cat in the bag was a crack up but it did scare some of them. It is very real looking.
Jediadiah is one smart little kitten. We knew that when he was born. So not to disappoint us, he figured out how to jump the gate on the Cattery door and get out into the house. Smart little guy. Several days later, Viola decided to follow suit. Petunia loved it because she could play with them and chase them. Both mothers were very watchful. Then low and behold, last Saturday, small little Joseph jumped the fence. Now that was amazing since he is a mini. He is a determined little guy just like Jediadiah. No wonder they are best friends. So after five days of trying to keep them in, we decided to take down the Cattery gate. What an explosion into the house. It was like a big party. They were running everywhere and having a ball. They now can roam free in the house. You really have to watch your step now. They like to jump out of nowhere and go right to your feet. There is never a dull moment around here, unless they are all napping.
We just released two new videos taken today for our special new parents. It is to say hello and tell their new parents that they can't wait to see them. You can take a look at the videos by clicking on the YouTube link.
We also released two new pictures of Peony. These are long, long over due. They can be found by clicking on her picture on the Dam's page.
Next Saturday we say goodbye to Viola as she goes to Georgia with her new family. Then the following Tuesday, August 2nd, we say goodbye to Zachariah and Jediadiah as they go off with their new parents to the other side of the state. Jediadiah and Viola are my very smart kittens and there never is a dull moment with those two. Zachariah is my precious lapcat. They all will be missed so much.

UPDATE: July 7, 2011
We have just released our newest video on YouTube entitled "Sweet Joshua and the Chamber Pot". Sweet Joshua, our Flame Point Himalayan kitten, is caught on film playing in the antique Chamber Pot. He waits for some of his friends (litter mates) to see him and come play with him. This goes on for several minutes. When he gets bored and sees the others playing around him, he too jumps out. When we first saw it happening, one of the male Persian kittens was in the Chamber Pot. We ran fast to get the camera and start taping, not knowing what to expect. It really is funny. You can catch this video by clicking the YouTube Video link. If you like the video, please "Like" the video and leave a comment. Don't forget to sign up to subscribe to the Victorian Gardens Cattery YouTube Channel while you are there. You will be immediately informed when a new video is released. Excuse Joshua's tear stains. We have been working on removing them each morning. This was filmed at the end of a long day of playing and way past his morning face wash. Hope you enjoy it.

UPDATE: July 5, 2011
Our sweet babies are growing up so fast. It makes us sad to know that these precious ones will be ready to go to their new home as early as the end of July. Where have the weeks gone? It seems like only yesterday that they were newborns.
On their 9 week birthday this past Sunday, Petunia's kittens had their first set of shots, which included the following vaccines: Feline Rhinotracheitis, Calici, Panleukopenia, Chlamydia Psittaci, and Feline Leukemia. They all came through their first set of shots with flying colors. The next day they were given had their third deworming.
Primrose's kittens are scheduled for their first set of shots on July 11. They just had their second deworming.
Pansy, the female Smoke Tortoiseshell has taken to having her naps in the antique pink and white chamber pot. We looked high and low for her in the Cattery on Sunday and we just could not find her. Low and behold, there she was, all so cozy in the pot. The next day, we found her taking her nap in the exact same place. So of course, we just had to take a picture. We have placed it on her photo gallery on the "Available Kittens" page. She really is a blast to watch.
Zachariah has really taken a shine to our little dog, Daisy. About a week ago, we saw Zachariah licking Daisy's ears. Daisy is very gentle with kittens. She just lets them do anything they want to her. Last night while Daisy was laying on the sofa next to me, Zachariah came up and started playing and washing Daisy's face. Daisy decided she loved the attention, so she started playing gently with Zachariah. They both played very gently with each other. It was so cute. Next time it happens, we will grab the camera and take a video of it so you all can enjoy it.
You can see the lastest photo we have of Viola flopped over the scratching station sleeping. She was just too tired from playing to go to her usual nap spots. You can catch her newest picture in her photo gallery.
We will be releasing a video today of Zachariah and Benjamin playing. The video was a special request. The kittens had just gotten up from their long afternoon nap around 6:30 p.m. They usually start getting geared up for wild play around 10:30 to 12:00 p.m.
We are hoping our next video will be of Petunia playing with her litter. She usually will take one kitten who is up when the others are not and play with that particular kitten. It is cute to watch her in action. She has done this with every litter she has ever had. So we just have to catch her in action at just the right time.
We also have plans in the very near future to do a video on how we bath our babies. Hopefully it will help new Victorian Gardens Cattery parents get an up close view of how bath time is here at the Cattery. It also will give you an idea of what are babies are use to in the bathing experience. It really is quite easy. The main thing is to make it a wonderful experience for the kitten, not a frightening one.
Keep your eye out for the newly releasing videos by clicking on our YouTube link or by subscribing to our channel on YouTube.

Our newest video entitled "The Bug" is now up on YouTube. You can click on this link or go to our YouTube Video's page to view it. It ended up being longer than we actually wanted, but we hope you enjoy it. If you like the video and the kittens, please leave a comment and "Like" the video on YouTube. The kittens and the Cattery will appreciate it.
We have now listed all our available kittens under the "Available Kitten" page. Please stop by to see their pictures and their personality descriptions.
All the babies got to experience "real chicken" this week. Jediadiah loves his Royal Canin Baby Cat so much that he was not interested in the chicken experience. He is such a good eater. He now weights the most of all the kittens. Little Viola was a scream. She started eating and then growling while she ate. She decided she loved chicken sooo much that she didn't want to share the plate of shredded and chopped chicken with anyone else. She actually scared almost everyone away with her growling and her raised paw. Pansy decided to stick by the plate since she really loved the chicken also. It was cute. So the Scott Family, please take note, Viola loves shredded chicken.
Primrose's babies have now had their second deworming medication on Wednesday. Petunia's babies are scheduled for their first set of shots on Sunday. Boy how time as flown. Seems like only yesterday that they were newborns.

Pansy, my Cat Fancy.
She has stolen my heart away from me. She is gorgeous and one of the most precious kittens I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. This magazine basket is one of her favorite spots to watch the world go by. She always comes running to me when she sees me. She wants me to pick her up, pet her and love on her, then she is ready to get down and run and play with the big guys. She is a small Tortoiseshell Persian. Her current weight is 1.17 lbs at 6 1/2 weeks old. She plays hard even with the big boys. She is a wonder to me. I hope you all find the kitten of your dreams here. We try our best to love them to pieces for you, till they can meet you face to face.
More pictures are now in the Photo Gallery. Stay tuned for the last video called, "The Bug". You will need to subscribe to our Channel on YouTube to be immediately informed when we load it up onto YouTube.

UPDATE: June 20, 2011
All seven babies had their first bathes last Tuesday, the 14th. It went very smoothly. Primrose was a good mother and stayed with all the babies while they had their blow dry session. Primrose's babies had their first deworming last Wednesday. Petunia's babies got their second deworming today.
We are going to list Petunia's available babies this week under a new page entitled "Available Kittens". They had their 7 week birthday yesterday. They will be listed individually, with their pictures, description including personality observed so far and price. If interested in one of the kittens, please fill out and either email or mail to us the Kitten Application found on the "Kitten Application" page. Please, serious inquiries only.
Primrose's Persian babies will be listed next week on the Available Kittens page. They had their 6 week birthday today. Primrose will have her two Persian males, a Cream and a Red available for adoption. We will be keeping Pansy, a gorgeous Tortoiseshell Persian, as a future breeder for the Cattery. Her face looks just like a Pansy flower.
UPDATE: June 10, 2011
Boy the days go by fast around the Cattery. We finally were able to take some pictures of everyone two days ago. You can see the newest pictures in the Photo Gallery. Today we produced another video of the gang, which we are uploading to YouTube. This video should be ready to view by Saturday.
Primrose's babies are now potty trained. They are so smart. They potty trained in two days. Hopefully it is permanent since we took up our Cattery rug and they are now on the hardwood floors of the Cattery. So far so good. Also all three are now eatting wet food. They have not taken yet to the Royal Canin Baby Cat Dry Food but we will start on that in earnest next week.
Petunia's babies are doing great and eatting the Royal Canin Baby Cat Dry Food as well as the wet food. They are hopefully completely potty trained. Next week they all will experience their first bath and blow dry. It should be interesting.
Next week, we will be listing individually, the available babies up for adoption along with their individual pictures. If you are interested in adopting one of our babies, please fill out the Kitten Application found on the Kitten Application page and return to us via email or mail. We will then review your application and call you.
Enjoy the new pictures and the newest YouTube video.

UPDATE: June 6, 2011
Primrose's babies had their 4 week birthday today. This is a big week for them. Today they had their first grooming session, as well as had their nails trimmed for the first time. We did cheat and trimmed their nails while they were asleep. It is so much easier when they are so small. Primrose's babies have nice cobby legs and tiny ears. They are now up and walking everywhere. We changed their food from Salmon and Pea to Ultra, which they seem to like a lot more than fish. In the next few days, we will focus our efforts on potty training. Hopefully it is a breeze like it was with Petunia's babies.
Petunia's babies are now a little over five weeks old. They had their first wormer treatment today. The surprise on their face at getting their first wormer treatment was funny. It really shocks them till they get use to it. It tastes totally different then their food. They are nursing less and less and eating more and more. They are well on their way to being weaned. The larger Flame Point Himalayan looked up at me today with the most beautiful blue eyes. We are so happy that both the Himalayan's received the strong blue eye color.
We will try to get a video of them all this evening during their play time. They take long naps during the day, but become very active at night.

UPDATE: June 2, 2011
Well we tried ... we tried to take pictures of these precious babies but ... have you ever taken a picture of a very active 4 week old kitten ... near impossible. We were able to get a few pictures, but not of everyone. They are just moving to fast for the camera. So we did opt for another video taken Sunday, May 29, 2011. The video should be available for viewing on YouTube by this evening. We have also loaded a few more pictures in the photo gallery.
This is a big week for Petunia's babies. They turned 4 weeks old and with that milestone, they had their first grooming session. Their daily grooming session starts with their hair being brushed, their face and eyes being wiped with a babies wash cloth, and ends with a taste of hairball treatment. They also had their first taste of the Royal Canin Baby Cat Food on Tuesday. They are also now potty box trained. That is not to say they will not have the occassional accident, but so far they are doing super. Not one accident yesterday afternoon, evening or even this morning when I went in to check on them. They are all eating the Natural Balance Wet Food from a plate. They are now going everywhere and are in to everything. Such a cute stage. We will try to get more videos of these active sweet hearts.
Primrose's babies are growing by leaps and bounds. They are up walking. Last night all of them ate wet food off my fingers. They get along great with Petunia's babies, though Petunia's babies will bowl them over. Primrose turned out to be a wonderful mother. She doesn't mind mothering her babies as well as Petunia's babies. Her babies are quiet and sweet. You just want to cuddle with them. They are on the newest video on YouTube. We did get one good picture in the gallery of the Cream Persian sleeping so sweetly.
Remember if you are interested in the kittens in these two litters, you will need to fill out and return the Kitten Application. Currently we are taking reservations for our Reserved List. This list is not for a particular kitten at this time, but for future adoptive parents who already have a Signed Contact and Deposit with us. These future adoptive parents will have the first pick of the litters. We are planning that the picks will be made once the Himilayan colors show stronger and we know more precisely what the mature coloring will be, as well as a good sence of each kitten's personality. We are expecting the future adoptive parents to choose their precious kittens within the next two weeks. By then Petunia's kittens will be about 7 weeks old and Primrose's babies will be nearing 6 weeks old. In mid June we will list our current individual kittens that are available for adoption on this page. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

UPDATE: May 26, 2011
All of Petunia's babies are now eating kitten wet food off my fingers. In a day or two, I will try to transition the kitten wet food to a plate. They are all walking great! The two male Himis are starting to show their colors. In a few days, hopefully the colors will be more pronouced. Our little Viola (Blue Cream) is starting to prance and pounce. She is such a smart girl and so intent on everything in her site.
Primrose's babies are starting to get their legs. The first born Cream/Red male Persian is now playing. He loves to roll back and forth. If he sees you in his vision, he makes his way to you. Yesterday as I was folding Cattery laundry on the floor near them, he saw me and made his wobblying way over to me. At the tender young age of 17 days old, he climbed up on my legs, situated himself and fell asleep. What a beautiful start of a personality for this little one. I was so enjoying it that I stayed right where I was with him on my lap for 30 minutes. Yes, he has stolen my heart. It truly amazed me.

UPDATE: May 24, 2011
Petunia's babies are now 24 days old and Primrose's babies are 16 days old. How does time fly? All the litters are doing great! It is a very busy time at the Cattery with the babies up walking and Petunia's babies starting to eat food. We have new pictures available in the Photo Gallery of Petunia's babies. We have changed the order of the pictures, with the newest ones being at the bottom. We are in the process of uploading new video on YouTube of Primrose's babies and Petunia's babies from today. The videos should be available to view by Wednesday, May 25, 2001. Primrose's babies are now starting to wobble walk so we moved them to the other nursery today so they would have more room to roam and also be able to become familiar with Petunia's babies. Primrose is already starting to mother Petunia's babies. She is such a good mother. Look for their videos this week as they start to walk, play and eat.

Petunia has a new video up on YouTube of her babies when they were 10 days old. Right now three of her babies have their eyes wide open. The female Blue Cream Persian should have her eyes open tomorrow. Can't believe they have grown up so fast. Right now the last born, which was the Male Himalayan has won the weight championship. He now weights more than all of them. We are watching closely for the colors to develop in the two male Himalayans in order to have a better idea what they will mature to be. We are updating the coloring of the Cream Persian to a Red Persian (Red Smoke) similar to Primrose's coloring.
Primroses babies are on the verge of doubling their birth weight. We expect it to occur at this evenings weight in. This is great since they were only born Monday afternoon. They love to nurse. We have been checking their changing colors and are updating them to be: One Female Tortoiseshell Persians and Two Male Red Persians (The larger male is a lighter red at this point in time).

Just a quick update ... we have new pictures in the Photo Gallery of Primrose's new babies as well as the first video on YouTube of Primrose's babies.
Three of Petunia's babies are starting to open their eyes. In a few days, they should have their eyes all open. They are also starting to wobbly walk. We will take them out on a stroll in the Nursery tomorrow. We will be loading a new video up on YouTube by tomorrow morning. You can subscribe on our YouTube site to be notified of any new videos from the Cattery.
UPDATE: May 10, 2011
We have had a busy couple of days at the Cattery. We even called in extra help. Primrose actually had two separate labors spread out from Sunday 12:02 a.m. to another one on Monday, May 9th from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Primrose had a total of 3 kittens that are nursing very well and doing great. It looks right now that we have a Cream Persian, Red Persian and a female Tortoiseshell Persian. We can't wait to see the colors develop on the Tortoiseshell. She is already very pretty with a large head, large paws and hopefully a more peeked face. We believe she will be a keeper for the Cattery. The kittens are all putting on some fat. We will have pictures soon of this litter. We are letting Primrose bond with her babies during these first important days.
Petunia's babies are doing great. They are so chubby and so very adorable. The white Himalayans now look pretty much identical. Their colors should start to make an appearance this week or next. They all have gained a lot of weight and are very similar in weight. They are nesting together very well. They are at that very cute stage. They will be a very active group once they get their legs going. Our Red Persian is still a go getter and our female Blue Cream sometimes gets the short end of the stick with three active brothers. You can start to see that their eyes are going to be opening very soon. We have listed some new pictures in the photo gallery. We did a video on Sunday only to have it not work. We will try again.
Right before Primrose went into labor, her hormones kicked in to high gear. She wanted to take over being a mom to Petunia's babies. She was fiercely protective of them as you can tell in one of the pictures. Petunia is a great and laid back mom to let her daughter, Primrose, into her nesting bed with her babies. Petunia cleaned the very pregnant Primrose and Primrose cleaned Petunia's babies. Primrose bonded to Petunia's babies very strongly. We had to separate Petunia and Primrose after Primrose's babies came so Primrose could focus her time and energy on bonding with her own babies. We took a lot of pictures of Primrose right before her labor as she helped Petunia with her babies.
UPDATE: May 1, 2011
Well, the big day has arrived. Between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. today, May 1st, Petunia had four beautiful babies. She is doing great. She did a great job of delivering them all without any problems. The babies look great and were at a good birth weight. They all are nursing up a storm. We have not tried to touch them very often since we wanted Petunia to do her bonding with her babies as they nurse.
We have put a video up on YouTube for everyone to watch. To see the video, please click on the YouTube Videos Page on our pages on the left side.
We were able to take a few pictures today but then when the babies would start crying Petunia would get upset. You can view these photos in the Photo Gallery. So we will try to get more pictures up tomorrow when Petunia may take a food or bathroom break. She is very guarded with them right now, which is how it is suppose to be.
We do want to tell you about this one special baby. We believe him to be a Cream Persian. He came out second in line. We have never seen this happen before but before we could even get to him, he was fightening with his hands inside the sack to get out of the sack. He was trying hard with his hands to get the sack off his face so he could breath. It was unbelievable. It reminded me of when Primrose came out legs first fighting and trying to get out of the incubator. While as soon as this little guy was cleaned up and put in the incubator, he was searching high and low for his mother to nurse on. We believe this little guy is one extremely smart kitten.
The first born appears to be quiet and polite. We believe it is a male Himalayan. It really is too early to guess the color. One darker spot on the tail and one of one of the eyes makes up think it may be a Tortie Point. Time has a way of changing the colors. The third one out we believe to be a female Blue Cream Persian. She is of a good weight and is just perfect. Her paw pads look to be blue with some being cream. The last kitten out looked a lot like the first kitten. This last kitten may be a Persian or Himalayan. Please check back often to see their development and also to see any new videos on TouTube. Remember colors change over time.
As stated below, if you are interested in our kittens, please fill out the application on the application page and email or mail back to us and we will get back in touch with you. We currently have a reserved kitten list for reserved kittens. This list is on a first come, first choice.

UPDATE: April 26, 2011
We thought Petunia was going to have her babies early this morning at 2:15 a.m since she had started labor. It stopped about one hour after it had started. It turned out to be false labor. She should have them at any time now. We watched her all day and no additional signs of labor. We were excited this evening to actually feel the kicking of one of Primrose's babies. It is the first time we have felt one of her babies kicking. She was a very calm queen even when her baby was kicking hard. It did not even phase her. We hope she is just as calm during her first time delivering.

UPDATE: April 25, 2011
Any day now ... Petunia must be getting tired of us always feeling her babies. We must touch her 10 times a day to make sure we feel them kicking and moving. She loves having her big belly rubbed. Today we felt 3 hard long rounded babies on her sides so we know she will have at least 3 babies. Delivery of Persians/Himalayans is always hard due to their large heads going through the birth canal. We pray for their safe delivery into their new world. We are more an anxious mother than Petunia is. The nursery is all sanitized and ready for the babies. Petunia and Primrose are now confined to the nursery. Petunia understands why but Primrose does not since she is a newbie to pregnancy. Primrose does not carry her babies on her side, like Petunia, but underneath. We still feel she is only carrying one, maybe two, which is not uncommon for a first litter for this particular family heritage. We may not post immediately upon the babies arrivals because we will be busy with their deliveries and arrivals. As soon as we get a chance to sleep and catch a breath, we will publish an update on this page.

UPDATE: April 17, 2011
Such an exciting time of expectation. Hopefully only one and half weeks to go till Petunia's babies are due. This is the biggest we have every seen her. We have been able to feel the babies moving around in her for about a week. In just the last few days, they have been kicking up a storm. When we put our fingertips on her belly, the babies kicking, takes us back and we remove our fingers quickly. It feels so weird. We don't know how Petunia can sleep through it all. Sometimes you will see her sleeping and laying down and then all of the sudden she bolts. Last night when we were rubbing her belly, one baby in particular kept wanting to kick her in her leg. You could feel it kicking and you could see Petunia's leg and thigh jerking everytime to try to get away from the kicking. I am sure she will be glad when they are born.
Primrose's belly is growing nicely. We are still thinking she only has one or two babies in her. Hopefully sometime this week we will be able to start to feel them moving. Her babies are probably a week and half behind Petunias since she was bred later.

Well ... Petunia is wobbling around like a woman who is 8 months pregnant. She is busting at the seams. Primrose is sleeping all the time. Since this is her first litter, we believe she has only one or two babies in her. She may surprise us all. Can you tell from the pictures they are mother and daughter? The pictures were taken at the same time on April 7, 2011. We just couldn't resist. You can't tell they are spoiled can you?
UPDATE: March 29, 2011
Primrose is now confirmed as pregnant. Her babies are expected around May 6th give or take a few days. She probably doesn't understand what is happening to her body since this is her first pregnancy. We made up her birthing/nursery bed this week and she went right to it and slept in it for a couple of hours. We let her in the nursery again last night and we found her several hours later trying to nest in the large towel in her birthing bed.
Petunia is enlarging very fast and as of last weekend her babies could be felt. They are fully developed now as miniature kittens. They feel like hard walnuts. Actually, they are a little bit bigger than walnuts. Can't wait till you can actually see them moving around in her. Petunia is eating great. We are getting so excited. We have upped her delivery date to April 27th, since she usually delivers between the 61st and 62nd day.
UPDATE: March 18, 2011
We are so excited at Victorian Gardens Cattery. Why you ask? Well, Ms. Primrose's DNA tests results are back. She is negative for all listed diseases, but it gets better. She is also a Chocolate Color Carrier and also a Dilute Color Carrier. So that means, she and Camelot have a great possibility of producing Chocolates and Dilutes (Blues and Lavendar/Lilacs). Primrose's DNA Test Results will be on a link on the DAMS page.
Lord Camelot the First (Champion Black Persian) left our Cattery on Monday March 7th after a 10 day stay with us. Poor soul, he was exhausted. Now it is the long wait. Petunia's babies are expected around April 30th. Petunia is definitely pregnant. Primrose is also pregnant with the babies expected around May 6th. We should be able to verify her pregnancy by March 26th. These litters will be ready for their forever homes approximately between July 30th and August 7th. We expect Persians and Himalayans from both of these two litters. You never know quite what to expect but we are hopeful for the following colors: Chocolate, Lilac/Lavendar, Blue, Seal Point, Tortie Point, Chocolate Point, Lilac Point, Blue Point, Tortoiseshell, Blue Cream, Red and Cream.
This year we are planning on video taping our babies as they grow, sleep and play. The video will be shown on our Cattery Facebook page. We have a Kitten Application Page available on our website so that potential parents may print out our Kitten Application. We have also added a Google Checkout Page for paying the Kitten Deposit after a Kitten Application is approved.
We will write a blog on this page after the deliveries so that everyone can keep up with the new arrivals and their progress. We also post their pictures in the photo gallery as we get a chance. If you would like to be on the wait list for either of these litters, please print out the Adoption Application found on the Prices Page and send it back to us via email or US mail. We will then contact you.
