Her babies will remain on our Nursery page and then will be made available on the Available Kitten Page. Please enjoy watching the videos and looking at our newborns. Each day the babies change. It could be their color changing, or their size, or their eyes opening. It is always an exciting time at the Cattery when the babies arrive. We have ordered this page with the most recent videos and pictures at the top then going to Day 1 at the bottom. Enjoy Hydrangea's newborns as much as we do. If you are interested in being on the wait list for one of our litters, please fill out the "Kitten Application" and return to us. More information on our policies are found on the Prices and Policies Page. Serious only inquiries please.

HILARIOUS VIDEO
Hydrangea's 9 Week Seal Point Himalayan Boy Catching A Bird
July 30, 2016
https://youtu.be/i-3m8D2Zr7Q
Hydrangea's 9 week old Seal Point Himalayan boy is hilarious in this video taken by one of our adoptive families, Sherri, while visiting the Cattery and her babies on July 23, 2016. The kitten is running around with the D'bird in his mouth and is trying to get away from us as we try to get it from him. He is growling like he thinks it really is a real bird. It was so hilarious that I broke out in laughter and could not stop. Of course, this was during one of our most stressful weeks on record for the Cattery. You can see more of this cute kitten in Hydrangea's Nursery on our website. Thank you Sherri for this very funny video. We definitely needed the laugh.

Hydrangea's Five Day Old Babies
May 22, 2016
Hydrangea's babies turned five days old this afternoon. They are doing great. They have nice fat tummies. We got our wish of a Tortie Himalayan. I still don't know if she is a Seal or Chocolate Tortie. Her nose pad coloring showed her Tortie coloring really fast. Even at birth, she had a coloring mark on her ear tip which I am assuming is part of her Tortie coloring. My guess is she is a Seal Tortie. I am watching her paw pads closely for a sign. Hydrangea is still on medicine and herbs to increase her milk. She is feeding them on her own without my supplementing feeding them. In fact they don't even like the nipple syringe anymore. She is a great mother and nice and protective.

Hydrangea's Babies
May 19, 2016
We have been so busy here that there just has not been time to update the website on Hydrangea and her precious miracle babies. We did post on May 17th on our Facebook page. On May 17, 2016, Hydrangea had a very and hard labor and delivery of two precious miracle babies. I call these precious babies my second and third miracles for the year. At one point in the labor, I was packing the car quickly for an emergency C-Section trip down to Wilmington. As I was getting the birthing cage in the car after hours of Hydrangea being in labor, I noticed that Hydrangea, in her carrier, had two feet sticking out of her. So I ran her back in the house and worked very hard on trying to get the stuck baby out of her. I thought the baby probably would be dead when it was finally out but it was not. This is Hydrangea's first vaginally delivery. Last year, she had a C-Section. So she was small to deliver this first baby vaginally. Well, here comes the second baby but it was worst. It was much larger ... in fact 108 grams. It also came legs first. We, Hydrangea and I, both had to work at least five minutes strong in trying to get it out. In both cases, the heads were so much bigger than the opening. It was indeed a third miracle. I was very happy that we did not have to take the 3 hour drive down to Wilmington with a baby stuck in the birth canal. What a day. Hydrangea was exhausted and so was I. What started out at 8:30 a.m. in the morning, finally finished around 4 p.m. Both babies and Mom are doing good and nurse well. I am having to supplement feed them since Hydrangea is not making enough Colostrum yet. She is a great mom ... protective of them and carrying for them. I hope her milk comes fully in during the next day or so. I know the second born is a large male extreme face Seal Point with a round head, small ears. The first born may be a female Chocolate Tortie Point. I can't really tell the sex of this one yet. We may have to wait till the colors develop more.
