You will find all the latest news about Primrose's babies and their growth on "Our Cattery Blog". We usually are blogging several times a week during our kitten season.

Primrose's babies will remain on our Nursery page and then later are made available on the Available Kitten Page. Please enjoy watching the videos and looking at her newborns. Each day the babies change. It could be their color changing, or their size, or their eyes opening. It is always an exciting time at the Cattery when the babies arrive. We have ordered this page with the most recent videos and pictures at the top then going to Day 1 at the bottom. Enjoy her newborns as much as she does and we do. January 12, 2013 - Dave Russo Photo Shoot
Dave and Lila came to visit Solomon and their professional camera came along for a visit. Dave took 700 pictures while they were here. Of course, many pictures were taken of the babies, but special photo time was spent with Willie and our girls also. The kittens had a very special time with Dave and Lila. As you can see from the pictures, Dave has a special gift for the photo lens and catching just the right mood and thoughts with the babies. Willie and the girls photos can be seen on the Sire and Dams pages. Out of the 700 photos taken, Dave was able to provide us with the best of the best. Thank you so much Dave and Lila. We thoroughly enjoyed your visit.

January 4, 2013 - And The Ball Goes Round and Round
The incredible hulk named Samson is at it again in this funny video. He is now 9 weeks old and appropriately named Samson for his size and strength. We just reintroduced this toy to our Toddler Room after a 3 week absence. Watch Samson as he goes to town on the toy that he just discovered.

December 12, 2012 - Primrose and Willie's 6 week old Himalayan Rambunctious Kittens Playing
Closeup of 6 week old Flame Point male Himalayan kittens in action playing. Samson, our extreme faced boy is huge and rightly called for his strength. Nathaniel is the smallest of the group and is sweet and gentle. Sometimes he gets taken over by the other two rambunctious boys. You can tell they are boys and are trying to show their male superiority over the other males with their stance and position. So this male dominate behavior starts early. Sweet Annie, Tortie Point, plays with the boys. She is as rambunctious as the boys.

December 1, 2012 - One Month Old Photo Shoot of Primrose and Willie's Kittens

Primrose and Willie's kittens turned one month old last week. We were blessed to have Dave Russo Photography come for a very exciting and fun photo shoot of our precious Himi kittens. You could tell Dave was having a great time photographing these babies. The photo shoot was actually not Dave's mission at the Cattery. Dave, and his sweet partner Lila, were here to pick out their special blessing. They just happened to bring along his camera. They had been waiting for their special little blessing since the beginning of July. You will have to wait a little bit longer to find out which of our precious kittens they picked to add to their very loving and pet friendly household. Dave's photography is so top notched that their gorgeous Black Extreme Faced Persian cat is featured on July 23, 2013 of the 365 Page A Day Cat Calendar, American's Favorite Cat Calendar. Thank you so much Dave and Lila for letting everyone have access to your wonderful photography.
November 27, 2012 - Day 28 of Primrose and Willie's Himalayan
Tomorrow marks their 4 week birthday. They are now walking, playing with each other and cleaning themselves. Their colored masks are now starting to show up around their noses. They have the most beautiful deep blue eyes. Their eye color could lighten or darken in the next few weeks. We will just have to wait and see how they develop. We hope they keep this color or even deepen more. This is our largest litter yet, weight wise. As of today, two of these babies are weighting in at 500 grams or over. Compared to Pansy's large babies, Primrose's babies are about three days ahead of where Pansy's babies were at this weight. Even the smallest of Primroses' babies is six days ahead of the smallest in Pansy's litter, Delphinium. These babies are very healthy and a very easy care litter. As much as possible, we are trying to have them wean and potty train on their own, naturally, without too much interference from us.

The babies are now breaking all our weight records. They are about 3 days ahead, weight wise, of Pansy's Litter, which had been our record breaker. We have Kitty Bloom Vitamins and Wate to thank for this, as well as our new outcross male, CH Willie Wonka. These babies are nice and cobby as well as fat. They have a wonderful ear set. There ears appear to be set low. We also are blessed with one extreme faced kitten. Good going Primrose on your wonderful mothering and nursing skills. Depending on how our extreme faced male kitten develops, he may stay at the Cattery as a future breeder/show cat or go to a home that will show him in CFA shows. It is a little too early to tell at this point in time. There is a dot showing up on his photos but he does not have a dot on the top of his head.

Primrose's babies at Day 13 are just starting to walk. Their eyes are fully opened. This is the first time they have been out of their Birthing/Nursing Bed. One of the kittens we had originally thought was a girl but now are pretty certain it is a boy. So Primrose and Willie produced three boys in this litter and one girl. The girl is a Tortie Point Himalayan. The boys are just starting to show their color on the tips of their ears and on their tail. They are either Flame Point Himalayans or Chocolate Point Himalayans. They are going to keep up guessing a little bit longer. These babies have beat all our other litters in size. They babies are fat, big and healthy.

On October 31st in the wee hours of the morning, Primrose birthed four beautiful Himalayan kittens. All the kittens are doing great. They are nursing well and growing right before our eyes. She had two girls and two boys. One of the girls is a Tortie Point Himalayan. The others are going to make us patiently wait for them to reveal their colors.
