Holly's very rare Lilac Cream Persian is now 4 weeks old. She is our Cattery's first Lilac Cream Persian. I just LOVE her coloring. She could be a Lilac Calico since her paws are white, along with her bib and small triangle on the face. CFA will hopefully help me with the determination of her color. Today, Periwinkle's girls had their baths and blow dry. It was past time for the Victorian Chamber Pot Photo Shoot since these girls will be 8 weeks old tomorrow. Our Cattery's Unusual Vaccine Protocol Video

Our Cattery's Vaccine Protocol is unusual and protective. We feel strongly that vaccines are needed, even for indoor cats. It is required in all our Kitten and Cat Sales Contracts. Please watch the video to see why it is unusual. It is protective because it protects against the Rhino Herpes Virus, the Panleukopenia Virus (Distemper), the Calici Virus and the Feline Leukemia Virus. Our Vaccine Protocol also does the most it can to protect the kitten and cat against injection site cancer. We have provided a screenshot of the Board used during the video above. Iris's 9 Week Old Red Chocolate Persian finally got his Victorian Chamber Pot Photo Shoot today. He definitely was too big for the Chamber Pot and did not want to stay put. This boy is a character. My best guess is a Blue Point due to the darker color of his body coat. She and I both had to work really hard to pull him out since he was born breach and was a big boy with a big head. Pictured in the slide show above, this boy is turning into a gorgeous bi-color in a rare blue coloring. It takes both parents either being dilute or carrying dilute to make a blue. That is why you do not see many blues available. We are just now being able to produce this color in the last few years. He coat is thick, beautiful and very even colored. He has a smooth top head and is going to have beautiful copper eyes. He is really turning in to a head turner. The pictures were taken during weaning on to wet food so he does have temporary staining on his white mask. He is now on dry food and the staining is going away. This boy is just starting to show his personality. He is a happy, sweet, friendly boy who loves to play. He is really coming out of his shell and shining. He loves to play with the whole gang in the Toddler Room and especially loves the Go Cat Peacock Sparkler and the Go Cat DaBird. He actually goes crazy over them. He seems happy to play by himself or with others. He also loves playstations and loves to take his nap on them. He may need assurances when introduced to a new situation. His bite is very slightly off but should self correct when his adult teeth come in. It does not affect his eating. He has a small kink at the tip of his tail that was not there at birth. We believe he was playing around the screen door and it caught his tail. It should self correct with time. He may be showable at CFA Shows in the Premiership Division down the road if his flaws self-correct. He will be a happy and delightful companion to a loving family. They are so beautiful. The Bi-Color Himalayan's white body coat is now coming in at the roots. So they should have all white body coats down the road as their fur grows out. We will try to get a shot of their roots during the video of this. The skin in normal flesh color. We are feeding a new wet food to them and it causes quit the staining on the faces of these babies. They have been weaning on to this wet canned food for the last several weeks. Today, they start on only dry food. We are happy about that. They are precious babies. It is so fun to watch them play. Petunia has three babies. I believe they are all boys, but we will need to wait a bit longer, just to make sure. She has an Extreme Face Blue and White Bi-Color Persian, an Extreme Face Bi-Color Seal Point Himalayan and an Extreme Face (Most Likely) Bi-Color Seal Point Himalayan. The Bi-Color Himis are very exotic looking. If you would like to see another Bi-Color Himi we have produced, Blue Bell is an excellent example. She is a gorgeous cat. You can see Blue Bell's Instagram page here. The babies are doing great. We were hand feeding these babies at the beginning. We are now down to just hand feeding one who wants the nipple syringe in place of her mother's milk. We are supplemental feeding another one because Petunia does not have enough milk. We have blended this Nursery with Holly's Nursery on August 2nd, so each mother can help raise the two litters together and hopefully supply enough milk for both litters. We will be creating Petunia's Nursery 2018, as time allows.

Petunia has three babies. I believe they are all boys, but we will need to wait a bit longer, just to make sure. She has an Extreme Face Blue and White Bi-Color Persian, an Extreme Face Bi-Color Seal Point Himalayan and an Extreme Face (Most Likely) Bi-Color Seal Point Himalayan. The Bi-Color Himis are very exotic looking. If you would like to see another Bi-Color Himi we have produced, Blue Bell is an excellent example. She is a gorgeous cat. You can see Blue Bell's Instagram page here. The babies are doing great. We were hand feeding these babies at the beginning. We are now down to just hand feeding one who wants the nipple syringe in place of her mother's milk. We are supplemental feeding another one because Petunia does not have enough milk. We have blended this Nursery with Holly's Nursery on August 2nd, so each mother can help raise the two litters together and hopefully supply enough milk for both litters. We will be creating Petunia's Nursery 2018, as time allows.

Cosmos had three kittens born on Sunday between 9:45 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. She has a Blue and White Bi-Color Female Persian, a Solid Chocolate Male Persian and a third kitten for which the color is still out on, possibly a Cream or Cream and White or even a Seal. This is her first delivery and she did great. Her kittens ranged from 89 grams to 105 grams. They are now nursing on their own. We will not know nose type until they mature since Toy's babies nose's seem to pull up some as they age. We will be working on a video and creating Cosmo's Nursery 2018, as time allows.

Litter Born: June 5, 2018
Expected Adoption Date: September 4, 2018
Periwinkle had a singleton kitten born June 5th, 2018, late at night. She had a hard delivery since her Himi was a big boy weighting in at 117 grams. Her largest kitten last year was 90 grams. This Himi is gorgeous and big with very white fur. We should know within the week if he is or is not a Seal. More than likely, he is a Flame Point. This is a Toy baby based on delivery date. He may be a Bi-Color Himi and we will know as he matures. He expect he will be raised with Cosmos's babies when they are starting to walk. Both mothers will raise the babies together. This will allow this baby to have interaction with other kittens near his age and allow him to have siblings. We will be working on a video and creating Periwinkle's Nursery 2018, as time allows.

Today, we did the Victorian Chamber Pot Photo Shoot with Holly's two 7 Week Old Kittens. You can view the Photo Shoot in Holly's Nursery 2018.
Since 4 kittens had their bathes today, we decided to do an impromptu Photo Shoot with Petunia's 11 week old kittens. You can view that Photo Shoot in Petunia's Nursery 2018.
We do plan on doing at least one more video this week, so stay tuned. It is a busy time at the Cattery.

We have confirmed Cosmos's pregnant by ultrasound. We think we have seen 5 babies but will continue regular ultrasounds trying to get a better count. We are so excited about this litter since it will be coming from our first solid chocolate girl. They should have chocolates and blacks and possibly of a Himi, since they both are CPCs (Color Point Carriers). We do expect a possibility of a Bi-colors. We do not know if Petunia passed on the dilute gene to Cosmos. If so, we can also hope for dilutes (Lilacs/Blues).

Litter Born: May 2, 2018
Expected Adoption Date: July 4, 2018
Iris had her babies in the early hours of the morning on May 2, 2018. She had a long labor period but a short delivery time. She has a rare litter. She has a male Red Chocolate who looks so much like my Red Chocolate Leone. She also gave us two of the very elusive and rare solid Chocolate Persians. She had a girl and boy of each. The girl is a slightly lighter chocolate at this moment, but that can change. Right now, I am guessing the Chocolates are going to be extreme faced and the Red Chocolate may be a doll face. We will know more as they age. Since I already have a solid Chocolate and a red Chocolate, this whole litter will be available. These were the biggest babies Iris has ever had. They all had birth weights over 100 grams. They are very solid and heavy. They look just like Willie Wonka in the face. We will plan on getting Iris's Nursery 2018 created in the next few weeks, as time permits. We will also plan on doing a video of the litter by the end of their first week.

We plan on doing other ultrasounds on her in the near future to make sure that she has not reabsorbed any babies. Petunia had her babies on March 17th in the early afternoon. She was able to complete the deliveries in less than 45 minutes. She had a Chocolate Himalayan girl and a gorgeous Black Persian boy. OK, I will need to re-verify the sexes down the road to be sure. Both babies are doing great and gaining very good amounts of weight. The babies are quite content. We will be making Petunia's Nursery 2018 in the near future so you can see all the videos and photos in one spot.

Today we moved Indigo over to our Main Cattery Room so he could play with his friend, Leone. Victoriana is sitting on my lap as I write this. I think she is already missing her sister, Lillian. On January 19th, they will start leaving for their new homes. One is going all the way up to Alaska with her new mommy. This is our last litter for 2017.
