Dave has a unique gift of catching the essence of a kitten or cat. His photograph is stunning and on the par with CFA show photographers. Dave likes to call those pictures, the "glam" pictures. But his favorite photography is the spontaneous, candid, close up and personal photography. His photography allows the viewer to get a glimpse inside the personality of each kitten and cat. You can almost read the cat's mind. He is able to catch every nook and cranny and uniqueness of a kitten and cat.
We first met Dave and his beautiful wife, Lila, when they came to the Cattery to pick out their new kitten. The were having a really hard time deciding, so we allowed this very early visit. Dave just happened, to our great pleasure, to bring along his camera. We had a wonderful time together taking pictures of Primrose's babies when they were just tiny babies. They are such generous people in their love, support and passion for the feline breed.
Dave Russo is a hobbyist photographer. During the workday, Dave is in IT and his wife, Lila, is an attorney. He has a great canvas at home to work from considering they have six furbabies at home. At night and on the weekends, they can turn their attention to their passion, the feline kind. Their home is a cat haven with playstations at numerous windows and where kitten toys abound. Their six fur-babies consist of Quincy, a large Maine Coon, Cedric, an extreme faced Black Persian, Nikko, a black and white rescue who is leader of the pack, Zena, a doll faced Seal Point Himalayan, Dexter, a solid black rescue and their newest arrival, Toshi (Solomon), a doll faced Flame Point Himalayan from our own Cattery.
