Her babies will remain on our Nursery page and then will be made available on the Available Kitten Page. Please enjoy watching the videos and looking at our newborns. Each day the babies change. It could be their color changing, or their size, or their eyes opening. It is always an exciting time at the Cattery when the babies arrive. We have ordered this page with the most recent videos and pictures at the top then going to Day 1 at the bottom. Enjoy Pansy's newborns as much as we do. If you are interested in being on the wait list for one of our litters, please fill out the "Kitten Application" and return to us. Velcro's Special Visitor
March 4, 2016
This past Saturday, Velcro had a special visit from her Daddy, Travis. Unfortunately, Velcro's mommy, Reagan, has just started a new job in Georgia and was not able to be here. Velcro is Pansy and Willie's 11 week old kitten. Both Velcro and her sister, Lovey, had a ball playing with Travis and the Da'Bird. I have not found a cat or kitten yet that did not love the Da'Bird. Travis even had a chance to take the rather rambunctious Velcro and try to trim her nails as she squirmed and squirmed. Travis learned to wrap her up in a tight papoose in order to accomplish the job. I was proud of him. She then fell fast asleep on his legs. We all were so glad he could finally meet his new little girl. In just a matter of two short weeks, the Toddler Room will be quiet again as the girls go to their new homes. Pansy is still allowing them to nurse on her and I hope that keeps up, just in case I need Pansy to nurse Diamond's babies which are due about a 5 days after her girls leave the Cattery.

Our Stroller Walk
February 22, 2016
Yesterday was absolutely beautiful outside with the sun shining and 70 degrees. We could not pass up getting our stroller out for our first stroll of the season. So Pansy and her two girls, Lovey and Velcro, got to be the first for a walk. The kittens thoroughly enjoyed it. I love this stroller. People are usually amazed when they look inside of it and instead of a human baby, they find my fur babies. This stroller even attaches to a bike. You can read about pet strollers on our web page entitled: The Pet Stroller.

Lovey's Special Visitors
February 20, 2016
Today our Cattery was blessed to have Lovey's parents, Chris and Heather, come and visit and play with their baby. Pansy's kittens played and played and played. They were even fighting sleep as they played. It was great to get to know Chris and Heather better and spend some quality time with time. They are also on the Priority Wait List for a sibling for Lovey. We love having families visit with us. The girls will be leaving the Cattery on March 17th.

UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL
February 16, 2016
Today, Pansy's kittens turned 9 weeks old. Time has flown by. They got their first set of vaccines today: a 3 in 1 nasal vaccine and a regular Feline Leukemia shot. I know a lot of people have mentioned it is hard to see their faces on the videos. That is because of their black fur. It takes over their features. It is very hard to see black fur faces. So today while the girls were chilling after their vaccines, I grabbed the camera and started shooting. With black Persians, the key is to get the photos when the light is on them full face. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Check out Pansy's two Black Persian girls in their newest video, as they race around their Toddler Room. They are now 8 1/2 weeks old and will have their first set of vaccines on Tuesday when they turn 9 weeks old. How time as flown by. They have grown so mature so quickly. Both families have named their girls. The doll face is named Velcro and the borderline extreme is named Lovey, as in Lovey Dovey. These girls are smart. We just gave them the pink cube yesterday and within an hour, Velcro, had already figured out how to roll it around the room. They love all their new space since we took down the fences and opened up the room to them. We do still have fences up in areas that we do not yet want them in ... like the taller playstation. Just click on the YouTube link above to go to their newest video on our YouTube channel. You can subscribe to our channel to know when we publish our newest videos. Pansy's 5 1/2 Week Old Bouncing Black Persian Girls Videos

Pansy and Willie's 5 1/2 week old Black Persian girls are doing great. They are now potty trained, drinking from the water fountain and eating dry food. Such an easy litter. Pansy makes caring for them a breeze. Unfortunately, Pansy has been in heat for the last two weeks with no end in sight. So this means she has other things on her mind. She is nursing her girls but does want out of the room a lot to walk the halls calling for a male at the top of her lungs. Even during the night, she is calling. So much for a good night sleep. Pansy's kittens are going to be big girls. They are weighting on par with the largest kittens that Pansy has had in the past. They have now been dewormed 3 times and have only one more deworming to go and they are all done with dewormings. We did start Priority Wait List Picks for Pansy's litter yesterday. If any kitten(s) remain after picks, they will be placed on the Available Kittens page.

Pansy's two girls are doing great. Pansy's girls are now using the litter box. In fact, one of the girls is using Pansy's litter box which is quite high. Both girls started weaning on wet food this week. I tried several brands of kitten wet food and then switched over to my homemade cooked chicken wet food which was a hit. I think one girl is even starting to eat dry food since she is gaining quite a bit of weight but not eating a lot of the wet food. One girl is eating straight off the plate now. How I love to see that. This girls definitely are characters. Pansy has been in heat for the last week which is always stressful on Pansy and her babies. She took that opportunity to try to wean them away from her. Hopefully she will be out of heat in the next few days. At least I hope so!

Who Said Litter Box Training Can't Be Fun ...

Who said litter box training can't be fun ... Pansy's two girls. They have other ideas of what you should do with a litter box. Their mother, Pansy, is now in heat and is rolling all over the floor. These two girls, now 4 weeks old today, watch her like I hawk and try to do exactly what their mother does. So today, twice, I found her doll faced Persian girl rolling around in the Feline Pine in their litter box. They will be needing that litter box really soon since they are now being hand fed wet kitten food. LOL.

Pansy and Willie's two Persian girls are now 3 1/2 weeks old. Overnight they changed a lot. They are now starting to run and starting to play with each other. Last night we introduced them to their new litter box filled with Feline Pine. We will start weaning them next week. I can already tell their are going to have fun personalities and both are going to be talkers. I am still unsure if the one girl is a Tortoiseshell or a Black. Time will tell. Sorry about the lighting and the clarity of the video. The Cattery's camera has a hard time getting clear videos of dark color kittens. Enjoy.
Pansy's Babies 3 Week Birthday
January 5, 2016
Pansy's babies turned 3 weeks old today. They have been walking now for about one week. Their eyes are fully opened and they are looking around and following my voice. We hope to start potty training them this week or at least get the baby litter box in there for them. We are going to hold off with the weaning process for about another week. If we can get our new HD webcam up and running, our families will be able to see these two babies live at certain times during the day and night. We will also try for a new video this week. It is so cute to see them walking around and interacting with their mommy. These pictures were taken late last night. They have a small strawberry enclosed bed that they go in all by themselves to sleep. They love their strawberry but will soon be too big for it. It is so small that Pansy can not even fit in it. As for the color ... I think we have one or two tortoiseshells but I am still not 100% convinced. We will start picks on this litter once I am sure about the coloring.

YouTube Video: Pansy's 13 Day Old Persian Girls - Black or Tortoiseshell???
Wow. Pansy decided to throw me a curve ball with her babies. All good though. It started on Christmas Eve when I went to weight and play with her two baby girls. I noticed white fur on the throat of her borderline extreme face girl. I thought, "how could that be?". I checked all over for any evidence of red fur but found none. The next day my x-husband, Tommy, came over. It was the first time he had seen the babies. I told him about the white fur I had seen the night before. He said that the one girl had red fur on her face. I said I didn't see any and I really looked for it. So together he tried to show me but I just could not see the red that he saw. Well, everyday I have been checking and low and behold, I am seeing red shading on that black baby. Are my eyes deceiving me? Wow. I have had quite a few Tortoiseshells born at the Cattery, but I have never seen this happen. I took some pictures of the babies a few days ago and are showing them above. I see a lot of tabby stripping where I am seeing red shading. I also took a video this afternoon of the babies. Interesting, isn't it. The borderline extreme has her eyes full open and the doll face has her eyes partially open. You can see the newest YouTube video by clicking on the link above. Enjoy.

Pansy and Willie's two Black Persian babies turned one week old today. They are big, fat and so very healthy. Just what we like. They are also the sweetest most easy going litter that I have seen so far. They were both purring on Day 3 while at the nipple. They don't mind being touched and petted. The doll face doubled her weight on Day 5 and the other girl doubled her birth weight today. The borderline extreme face girl is just starting to open her eyes on Day 7. What an easy litter to care for. Pansy is just the best and most easy going mom to her babies. She makes it look so easy. I can't wait till these babies eyes are all open and they are starting to walk. Pansy and Willie's Black Persian babies usually end up with intense deep copper eye color and sometimes that famous silver coat that Saffron has. You can watch their latest video by clicking on the link above.

December 20, 2015
Pansy's babies are so healthy and doing so well. They are beautiful with beautiful silky coats. These girls little bodies are so plump. Pansy is just the perfect mom. Such an easy litter to take care of ... what a dream. Well, really, Pansy is taking care of everything. I just go in to weigh them three times and day and just lay on the floor and stare at them. I love to see how they interact with their mommy and themselves. The two sisters are very close. They love snuggling together. Already, the doll face is sooo easy going and laid back. I laughed today. She was on her back nursing with no hands and relaxed as can be. Last night she was laying on her back with her feet up in the air, nursing away. I need to get my camera to take some shots when she does this. It is so funny. They don't mind being touched and petted, even at this young age. Both girls have been purring since Day 3. Today, the doll face girl doubled her birth weight and she is only on Day 5. WOW! I expect the other girl will follow with doubling her birth weight either tomorrow or the next day. When they were born, there was 16 grams separating them. Now there is only 10 grams separating them. What a delightful and easy litter.

Pansy and Willie's Newborn Babies

Pansy's Babies YouTube Video Link
Pansy delivered two female Black Persian babies on the evening of December 15th. I had been in and out of her room checking on her all day long and saw no signs of labor having started. At 8:40 p.m., I went to my bedroom to check on her again. I didn't see her so I started calling her and then I heard it. Small cries and then louder cries. Then I saw Pansy make her way to me. Her rear end was wet. It was baby cries I was hearing. I put her in her birthing cage and went to find the baby that was crying under the bed. I had to take everything out from under the bed. There two black Persian babies were together crying away. They were dry and no blood or sacks were to be found. One still had the placenta hanging from it. I brought them back over to the birthing cage and clamped off the placenta. The babies went immediately to nursing on Pansy. This is a first for the Cattery. No mother has ever delivered her babies without me being there to assist. I know earlier in the day I had put her in the birthing cage when I had found her in the back of my closet. Well, Pansy is smart and it only took her a second to figure out how to open the zipper on the birthing cage. After I had the babies settled with mother in the birthing area on a heating pad, I went looking high and low for any other babies. I did find two placentas under the bed but no other babies. I don't know if there was a third. I was so glad that these babies were safe and that Pansy had taken care of them and got them breathing and cleaned up all by herself. They are still in the birthing cage in my room till I can get their Nursery ready. Hopefully tonight they will be transferred there. It is definitely hard to sleep in a room where the heaters are going full blast to keep them warm. So for the babies, Pansy and Willie had two Black Persians. I am pretty confident they are both girls since I did see a slit yesterday in their private area. One baby is definitely a doll face and the other is either a doll face/borderline or extreme. Pansy has a ton of milk so these babies have just had a feast. As of last night's weigh which was taken around 24 hours after birth, they had gained 12 to 14 grams. One baby was born 14 grams less than the other and is fast catching up. Because of all the milk, these babies fill up and then fall back to sleep. So this is not a litter than is nursing 24/7, which allows Pansy a lot of time to relax. So far, this is by far the easiest litter I have had to deliver. Pansy did all the work without me knowing about it. LOL. I truly didn't plan it this way and that is for sure.

So this is not a litter than is nursing 24/7, which allows Pansy a lot of time to relax. So far, this is by far the easiest litter I have had to deliver. Pansy did all the work without me knowing about it. LOL. I truly didn't plan it this way and that is for sure.
