Male Chocolate Point Himalayan
Her babies will remain on our Nursery page and then will be made available on the Available Kitten Page. Please enjoy watching the videos and looking at our newborns. Each day the babies change. It could be their color changing, or their size, or their eyes opening. It is always an exciting time at the Cattery when the babies arrive. We have ordered this page with the most recent videos and pictures at the top then going to Day 1 at the bottom. Enjoy Holly's newborns as much as we do. If you are interested in being on the wait list for one of our litters, please fill out the "Kitten Application" and return to us. More information on our policies are found on the Prices and Policies Page. Serious only inquiries please.

Does Madeline Rose Have A New Mommy Video
October 16, 2016
https://youtu.be/LmCzsXd8Gxs
Does our cute little Madeline Rose, a Seal Point Himalayan, does have another mommie? By the looks of it, yes she does. Petunia, your real mommie will not mind. I think that makes 4 mommies for Madeline, including myself. Iris's 12 week old Chocolate Point Himalayan, named Lilly Belle Rose, decided Madeline needed some tending to. So she took her washing her dirty face. Just click on the link to go to the video.

3 1/2 Weeks Old
This video was taken when Iris's babies were 3 1/2 weeks old. They are now walking and we have started the process of potty training and weaning. They are such friendly and outgoing babies. They are definitely Willie's babies with that personality. They really are sweet, outgoing, friendly and so cute. Just click the link below to go to the video.

My Sweet Dear Iris, You are a Trooper ... such a Special Lady
Two Weeks Old
August 1, 2016
Iris brought us our first all chocolate litter born via C-Section on July 18. As many of you know, she had 6 kittens in her womb. One died in the womb due to being a rare shoulder breech that was stuck in the canal. The other was put to sleep due to congenital defects. Due to the circumstances of the C-Section, Iris had to have two emergency surgeries within a week period of time. The last surgery on the following Saturday after her C-Section, resulted in a hospital stay of three days. The last surgery was to repair the internal C-Section stitches that had all come undone within a few days of the C-Section and to repair the large hernia as the result of her bladder coming through the abdominal wall because the stitches had become undone. When I left her at the hospital, I was crying, not knowing if I would ever see her again. When I asked how dangerous the second surgery was, the Vet only could say, "well, it is a second surgery which is a risk". Thankfully, Iris made it safely through that second surgery and was looked after throughout the weekend by the hospital staff. Iris is recovering well and nursing and loving her babies. It has truly been heartbreaking to see all she has been through for her first litter. To make things worse, two of her precious C-Section babies died of pneumonia within 48 hours of the C-Section. I did everything in my power and arsenal to keep them alive. It was devastating for Iris as well as me. I don't know how either her or I made it through that first week and a half. I was hand feeding her babies every 2 hours round the clock for the first week and every 3 to 4 hours the following week. Holly was brought in to help with nursing while Iris was in the hospital though she was reluctant to help. I actually brought her in earlier than that since Iris had no milk and I was exhausted from the round the clock feedings. Iris now has two Chocolate Point Himalayans (one girl and one boy) who are doing really well and Iris's milk has finally come in. They are active and looking around and screaming to be feed all the time. That is such a good sign. Life is starting to settle down after a horrific first two weeks of their life.

Iris and Willie's Babies
July 19, 2016
Thanks to Dr. Rosemarie Williams and the staff at The Sound Cat, yesterday, July 18th at 12:30 p.m., Iris brought us our first all chocolate litter. She has three Chocolate Himalayans (one girl and two boys) and one female Chocolate Persian. It was the largest litter ever for our Cattery at six kittens in the womb. However, the reason we were down at The Sound Cat was one baby had breached in the birth canal and had died there. Another baby was put to sleep due to several problems, possibly genetic. So it was an emotional roller coaster day. Iris was doing great through it all. She never let on that she was in any pain from the breach. This Dear Mother doesn't even look or act like she had major surgery yesterday. She is so much like her grandmother, Primrose, and mother, Holly, when it comes to protecting her babies. I have to put her in a carrier in order to feed her babies. Her milk has not come in so I am hand feeding these babies every 3 to 3 1/2 hours round the clock. Hoping her milk comes in soon so I can get some rest. If you are wondering why the markings on their heads ... it is to tell them apart.
